Looking for a reason to justify buying a PS5 Pro, especially after the recent price hike? The new Saros trailer from Housemarque showcases the upgraded console’s improvements over the standard PS5, and might just give you that justification. You can watch the trailer above.
The gameplay footage showcases PSSR 2, and it will run at the high frame rates needed for a fast-paced shooter. It’s launching on PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2026.
So, I was reading the PlayStation Blog, and the tech director, Seppo Halonen, mentioned that Saros actually renders the game at a higher resolution natively than the original PS5, even before it does any of that fancy upscaling stuff. Basically, it’s sharper right from the start!
With the PS5 Pro, you’ll experience a noticeably sharper and more detailed picture at a smooth 60 frames per second. Even during fast-paced action, the game maintains a consistent frame rate while always looking crisper than on previous versions.
