Kate Gosselin Shares Rare Glimpse of 2 of Her and Jon Gosselin’s Sons

Kate Gosselin’s boys have grown into men.

Kate Gosselin, known from the show *Jon & Kate Plus 8*, recently shared a rare photo of two of her sons with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. The boys visited her just before she starts a road trip with her dogs, Meika and Nanuq.

On September 16th, Kate posted a TikTok showing what appeared to be her sons, Aaden and Joel (both 21), kissing their sister, Meika, in the kitchen. She explained in the video that they had come home to say goodbye before she left on her trip.

I recently shared a sweet photo of one of my sons giving our beloved German Shepherd a really special goodbye. He was right there on the floor, giving him the best belly rub! It’s been a tough time, as you know, I’m also a mom to Mady and Cara, who are 24, and to Alexis, Hannah, and Leah, all 21. And of course, my son Collin, who is also 21.

“Tried to tell me they wouldn’t miss her,” Kate wrote over the image. “Suuuuurrreee.”

From what I’m seeing, things are still a bit rocky in Kate’s family. Her sons, Aaden and Joel, seem to pop in and out, but the bigger issue is her relationship with her brother, Collin. He’s openly talked about feeling distant, and it looks like that hasn’t improved. Last year, he actually said Kate was unintentionally creating distance between him and his brothers, and sadly, that barrier still seems to be there.

During a TikTok Live in August, Collin shared with viewers that he isn’t currently in contact with his siblings. He expressed a desire to reconnect, saying he wants them to truly know him because they’ve grown apart and don’t really know each other anymore, according to People magazine.

Even though his family is estranged, Collin still stays in touch with his sister, Hannah. She’s the only other one of his six siblings who grew up living with their father.

I just messaged her earlier today,” he said. “She’s at college and enjoying herself. I always think Hannah’s really making the most of things – always busy and having fun – so we connect whenever our schedules allow.

On May 10, 2025, Hannah, Collin, Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel-a set of sextuplets-turned 21. Kate shared photos from the birthday celebration for Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel.

Hannah celebrated her birthday with her dad and his fiancée Stephanie Lebo.

Kate posted a Mother’s Day message in 2024 honoring four of her sextuplets – Alexis, Aaden, Joel, and Leah – just two days after they celebrated their 20th birthdays.

She celebrated her children turning twenty with an Instagram post, writing, ‘No more teenagers in this house! Happy 20th birthday to my babies, I love you both!’ She jokingly added, ‘Who feels old? I know I do!’ and included the hashtags #20yearsold and #ItsaPICKLE.

Hannah shared new pics of herself on her and the other sextuplet’s 20th birthday.

On to the next chapter! The sextuplet graduated from high school in 2023.

Jon posted a photo of his sextuplets, Collin and Hannah, graduating high school in 2023. They had been living with him for several years prior to the graduation.

Kate appeared with twin Mady and Cara in New York City in this 2019 pic.

In 2022, Jon posted on Instagram wishing his child a happy 18th birthday. He wrote, ‘Today we’re celebrating your birthday – let’s make some noise! I love you. Love, Dad.’

Kate recently celebrated her children’s 15th birthday, sharing that the festivities lasted all day! It started with a surprise gift at 6:30 am before school. She expressed how quickly time has flown, saying she’s amazed and incredibly proud of the wonderful people her ‘babies’ are becoming as they grow into young adults. She shared these thoughts in a post from 2019.

In a 2018 Instagram post, Kate expressed her surprise at how quickly summer flew by, writing, “This was yesterday! Feels like school never ended…and they’re already back!” She also included the hashtags #SeniorYear, #EighthGrade, and #ProudMom.

 

Jon Gosselin wished his twins, Hannah and Collin, a happy 15th birthday on Instagram, also extending wishes to Aaden, Joel, Alexis, and Leah. He expressed how quickly time has passed and shared his love for them, hoping they have a wonderful birthday filled with celebrations this weekend. He signed the message, ‘Love always, Dad’.

Kate shared a funny exchange she had with her daughters. They were excitedly counting down the days until their 14th birthdays, constantly reminding her how soon it was coming. Kate jokingly told one of her daughters, Leah, that she was still too young to be turning 14, and Leah responded by questioning if she might actually be turning 11 or 12 instead! Kate reassured them she knew how old they were, playfully reminding them she was there when they were born. She expressed how much she loves her ‘babies’ and how quickly they’re growing up.

Kate Gosselin expressed her amazement on Instagram, saying she couldn’t believe her sextuplets were turning thirteen.

Rewind to 2014 whenKate and her children found themselves visiting Alaska. 

In 2014, Kate took her twin daughters, Cara and Mady Gosselin, on a trip to New York City, including a visit to a Manhattan hotel.

Kate Gosselin shared a sweet Christmas memory on Instagram, posting a throwback photo from Christmas Eve 2010 when her six children were all six years old. She wrote about how excited they were, calling their smiles ‘adorable’ and adding hashtags expressing her love for them: ‘#TheyAreMyHeart’, ‘#My8ReasonsToKeepOnKeepingOn’, ‘#NoMatterWhat’, and ‘#TrueLoveX8’.

 

In October 2007, Jon and Kate Gosselin brought their eight children to New York City. Their first activity was an appearance on NBC’s *Today* show.
