The upcoming sequel to *Kpop Demon Hunters* has a strong possibility of becoming Netflix’s most-watched title ever. Only Season 4 of *Stranger Things*, released in 2022 with 140.7 million views, has made it into Netflix’s top 10 most-watched shows of all time. Despite some fan fatigue from the long wait, *Stranger Things* Season 5 will undoubtedly attract a large audience when it premieres later this year. However, it would need to significantly surpass the performance of Season 4 to break the existing record.

For example, while *Squid Game* started strong, later seasons didn’t attract as many viewers-the second and third seasons both fell below 200 million views. This pattern isn’t limited to non-English shows either. *Wednesday* Season 2, released just a month ago, has only reached 95.4 million views, significantly less than its first season. Although a third season of *Wednesday* is planned, it’s unlikely to be as popular as *Kpop Demon Hunters*, given the declining audience interest.

The animated film *Kpop Demon Hunters* quickly became a massive hit on Netflix, and while its popularity might seem sudden, it’s not entirely unexpected.
