Chase Chrisley isn’t hearing wedding bells just yet.
Chase’s girlfriend, Jodi Laine Fournerat, who he’s been with for two years, recently explained why she turned down his marriage proposal.
Jodi, 30, recounted to Chase’s grandmother, Faye Chrisley, on the September 16th episode of *The Chrisleys: Back to Reality* that Chase asked to talk as soon as he finished showering. Jodi said she agreed, and when he came out, he asked her to close the bedroom door. He started the conversation by telling her how much he loved her, which immediately made Jodi ask what he had done.
Jodi remembered that he suddenly sat up in bed and began reaching into his pocket. She instantly realized what was happening, so she turned away to avoid seeing a ring. She quickly told him, ‘Chase, get up!’ because he was kneeling and trying to finish what he was saying.
Jodi confessed that Chase became upset when she told him they couldn’t continue at that moment, explaining she wanted the experience to be more special.
She remembered telling Chase she wasn’t rejecting *him*, but rather the situation they were in. She explained, ‘It’s not that I’m saying no to *you*, it’s the circumstances I’m declining.’
Faye—affectionately known as Nanny Faye—agreed, adding, “That’s kinda crazy.”
Jodi, who has been dating Chase Chrisley since 2023, says his next proposal will be even more special.
“Anything’s better than that,” she said. “It’s only up from here.”
She clarified in a separate interview, ‘It’s not that I don’t want Chase to propose someday. I just didn’t want him to propose in our bedroom – the setting just wasn’t right for me.’
Although Faye approves of Jodi and Chase’s relationship, his parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, are somewhat hesitant because they don’t know the influencer well.
Todd shared that he hopes his son finds a fulfilling and meaningful relationship. He wants him to have a partner who will be a wonderful mother to their children and a great wife – someone he himself will enjoy being around.
Honestly, I barely know Jodi. She was briefly at the house the day we returned, but we only spoke for maybe five minutes. We really haven’t had any meaningful interaction with her since then. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t have a relationship with her.
Jodi thinks problems Chase has with his family, particularly his sister Savannah, who is 28, are affecting how they see her.
She explained that people often form opinions about her without really knowing her, especially when other family members dislike her partner, Chase. She feels she’s judged based on their disapproval, as if she’s not meeting their expectations simply because they don’t agree with his choices or personality.
Despite everything, Jodi hopes to get closer to the Chrisley family before Chase proposes again.
She expressed her excitement about getting to know the rest of Chase’s family and being there for him through everything, enjoying the journey with him.

Todd Chrisley is the head of the Chrisley family. Born in Georgia in April 1969 and raised in South Carolina, he has five children. He and his first wife, Teresa Terry, had two children, Lindsie and Kyle, before divorcing. In 1996, he married Julie Chrisley (born in South Carolina in January 1973), and together they had Chase, Savannah, and Grayson. They also adopted Kyle’s daughter, Chloe. The family faced challenges, including Julie’s battle with and recovery from breast cancer in 2012.
Before becoming famous on television, Todd built a successful real estate business, which provided the majority of the family’s income. Julie worked at a bank when she and Todd began dating. Their family life was documented on the show *Chrisley Knows Best*, which aired from 2014 to 2023 and led to several spin-offs, including *Growing Up Chrisley* and *What’s Cooking With Julie?*, as well as podcasts.
In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of fraud and tax crimes and initially sentenced to 12 and 7 years in prison, respectively. They maintained their innocence. However, in May 2025, President Donald Trump pardoned them, leading to their release from prison.
Lindsie Todd, born in September 1989, is the oldest child from her parents’ marriage. She went to Georgia State University, where she met and later married Will Campbell in 2012. That same year, she graduated and had their son, Jackson. Two years later, the reality show *Chrisley Knows Best* debuted, featuring Lindsie and her family.
Lindsie appeared on the show for five seasons, during which viewers witnessed tensions between her and Will. They divorced in 2016, and she left the show in 2017. This led to a strained relationship with her family and a period of public disagreement.
In 2022, Lindsie, her parents Todd and Julie, and her sister Savannah publicly reconciled on crossover episodes of their respective podcasts. However, this reunion didn’t last. By March 2025, Lindsie revealed she hadn’t seen her father in a while, and the following month confirmed she was also estranged from her siblings. She explained on the *Cate & Ty Break It Down* podcast that while they can coexist, they don’t currently play a supportive role in each other’s lives.
Following the pardon of Julie and Todd in May 2025, Lindsie shared an optimistic message on Instagram, stating, “With God all things are possible.”
Kyle, born in August 1991, is Todd Chrisley’s oldest son from his marriage to Teresa. He has a daughter, Chloe, born in November 2012, with his former partner Angela Johnson, but Todd and Julie legally adopted her in 2016.
Kyle appeared on the first season of *Chrisley Knows Best* (with a quick appearance in 2021), but his past legal issues and complicated relationship with his family – which included periods of estrangement and reconciliation – often made news. He’s been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction, announcing on Facebook in 2019 that he was sober.
In 2021, Kyle married Ashley Nelson and became a stepfather to her children, Haiden and Mackenzie.
He hopes to rebuild his relationship with Todd and Julie after they are released from prison. In May 2025, he told TopMob News, “I know they can’t wait to get home and just be with family,” and he remains optimistic about a possible reconciliation.
Chase Chrisley, born in June 1996, is the oldest child of Todd and Julie Chrisley. He first gained public attention appearing on the reality shows *Chrisley Knows Best* and *Growing Up Chrisley* alongside his family, particularly his sister Savannah from 2019 to 2022.
Chase was previously engaged to Emmy Medders, but they ended their relationship in 2023 after a period of on-again, off-again dating. He later began dating Jodi Laine Fournerat, and frequently shares photos of her, as well as his grandmother Nanny Faye Chrisley, on his Instagram.
Following his parents’ imprisonment, Chase spoke about how the experience brought him and his siblings closer together. He told *Extra* in 2023, “We’ve definitely gotten a lot closer… We’ve clung together and we’re still fighting.”
In January 2025, Chase was arrested in Atlanta on a simple battery charge after allegedly becoming intoxicated and slapping a bar manager who asked him to leave. His lawyers disputed the charges, telling *People* that the incident was “blown out of proportion” and that Chase did not assault anyone, but was simply trying to pay his bill and leave. They stated they would be investigating the situation independently.
Beyond television, Chase is also an entrepreneur, having launched both a candle brand and a roofing company.
Savannah Chrisley was born to Todd and Julie Chrisley in August 1997. She began her career competing in pageants, winning Miss Tennessee Teen USA in 2016. She then gained further recognition through reality television, appearing on shows like *Chrisley Knows Best*, *Growing Up Chrisley*, *The Masked Singer*, and *Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test*. Beyond television, Savannah works as a real estate agent in Tennessee, founded Good Girl RX, and hosts the *Unlocked* podcast.
Savannah became engaged to hockey player Nic Kerdiles in 2019, but they separated in 2020. Tragically, Kerdiles passed away in a motorcycle accident in 2023. She later dated Robert Shiver, but they ended their relationship in April 2025 after approximately two years together.
While her parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley, were incarcerated, Savannah took legal custody of her siblings, Grayson and Chloe, and actively campaigned for their release. At the 2024 Republican National Convention, she emotionally shared that the numbers 72600019 and 72601019 represented her parents’ inmate identification numbers, stating they were “my whole heart.”
Following a pardon from Donald Trump, Julie and Todd were released from prison, and Savannah shared footage of their return home with a celebratory message: “Reunited and it feels so good.”
Grayson is the youngest child of Todd and Julie Chrisley. He first became known to the public when the show *Chrisley Knows Best* began airing in 2014, just eight years after he was born in May 2006. Today, he’s a student at the University of Alabama, where he’s often recognized by fellow students.
He described the attention he receives on campus as “insane” during a February 2025 appearance on Savannah’s podcast, *Unlocked*, noting it was more than he’d ever experienced before.
When Todd and Julie went to prison, Savannah took legal guardianship of Grayson and her younger sister, Chloe.
Savannah has openly discussed the challenges and rewards of becoming a bonus parent. In a July 2023 Instagram post, she explained that while she isn’t their mother or father, she’s dedicated to loving and guiding them. She described raising them as the hardest, yet most fulfilling, job she’ll ever have.
Their connection has become particularly strong, with Savannah acknowledging on Grayson’s 18th birthday in May 2024 that while others might think she saved him, he actually saved her.
Oh my gosh, Chloe is EVERYTHING! It all started when her dad, Kyle, had her with Angela back in 2012, and Todd and Julie were her grandparents. But then, they *adopted* her! I seriously cried when Julie posted on Instagram in 2018, saying Chloe brought so much happiness to their family – it was the sweetest thing ever! We all got to watch them raise her – she’s called CoCo by the family, you know – on *Chrisley Knows Best*, and she’s just the most amazing little girl. It was so hard when Todd and Julie went to prison, and Savannah stepped in as her guardian, but she’s been incredible too. Savannah’s Instagram post for Chloe’s 11th birthday in November 2023? Forget about it! She said Chloe is a blessing, has the best personality, and that she’s everything she hopes to be! It was SO heartwarming. And then, when the news came out about Trump pardoning Todd and Julie… I was screaming! Savannah said Chloe was in shock, afraid something bad would happen, but Savannah is so excited to bring her dad home to her. It’s just… everything a fan could hope for! I’m so happy for them all!
As a lifestyle observer, I’ve always been inspired by Faye Chrisley – or ‘Nanny’ as everyone knows her! She’s Todd’s incredible mom, and he’s publicly shared how deeply he loves and appreciates her, saying she fills his life with hope and confidence. Nanny grew up in South Carolina, born in 1944, and she and her husband, Gene, a veteran, raised their sons, Todd, Randy, and Derrick. Sadly, they lost their baby, Derrick, and Gene passed away in 2012.
On *Chrisley Knows Best*, Nanny truly stole the show! She’s hilarious, loves a good time with her sister Frances (who we sadly lost in 2022), and always offered the best advice. Whether she was trying her luck at the casino, enjoying a glass of wine, or simply being with family, she showed us all how to live life to the fullest.
Of course, life hasn’t always been easy. Nanny faced some tough times, including her son Todd and Julie’s legal issues, and in 2021, she was diagnosed with bladder cancer. But she’s a fighter! By 2023, she announced she was in remission, and she’s back to doing what she does best: living life with grace and resilience.
Her philosophy is simple but powerful: ‘The world don’t always give you a good deck of cards to play with, so you play with them the best you can.’ She gets up, dusts herself off, and keeps moving forward. That’s Nanny – a true inspiration!
