Fans have been waiting for months, and Season 2 of the Netflix drama *Beauty in Black* is finally here! However, one of the show’s stars says viewers will have to be patient for the rest of the season. The series follows Mallory and Kimmie, two women whose lives are transformed when they meet. Like many popular Netflix shows, *Beauty in Black* releases its seasons in two parts, and the release date for the second half of Season 2 hasn’t been announced yet.
When Will Beauty In Black Season 2 Part 2 Episodes Release?
Although Netflix hasn’t given a specific release date for the second part of *Beauty in Black* Season 2, one of the show’s stars has provided a more precise timeframe. Richard Lawson, who plays Norman Bellaire, responded to a fan on Instagram and confirmed that there are eight remaining episodes for Season 2. He then stated that these episodes, beginning with Episode 9, are expected to be released in February or March of 2026.
“There are eight more episodes in season two. They will come in February or March.”
The first half of *Beauty in Black* Season 2 became available on Netflix on September 11, 2025, and it quickly gained popularity. Like the first season, the new episodes have risen to the top of Netflix’s most-watched list.

According to projections by analyst Lawrence (which Netflix hasn’t verified), there could be a significant 6-7 month gap between the two parts of *Beauty in Black* Season 2, leaving fans waiting a long time. Netflix usually releases parts of its split seasons only a month or two apart, like they did with *The Sandman* and *Wednesday*. However, *Beauty in Black* Season 1 already had a similar long delay – the first episodes came out in October 2024, and the second half wasn’t released until March 2025.
Tyler Perry was the creative force behind the series *Beauty in Black*, handling writing, directing, and production. The show stars Crystle Stewart, Taylor Polidore Williams, Ricco Ross, and Amber Reign Smith. The first season had 16 episodes, and the upcoming second season is also planned to have 16 episodes.
What to Expect From Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 2
The first season of *Beauty in Black* kept viewers on the edge of their seats with close calls for favorite characters, surprising plot twists, and shocking betrayals. The second season is proving to be just as exciting, following Kimmie (Williams) as she settles into her role as the head of the Beauty in Black makeup company.
Even though Kimmie has been promoted, she’s struggling to connect with the wealthy Bellaire family, who are unhappy with the change in dynamics. The first half of Season 2 mainly focused on Kimmie realizing her newfound abilities and learning how to use them to defend her loved ones.
At the end of the first part of Season 2, Kimmie impressed everyone with her presentation to the board for *Beauty in Black*, solidifying her position as the company’s leader – a development that upset Mallory. Actress Stewart hinted to Tudum that Part 2 will feature even more painful betrayals and warned fans they won’t be prepared for Mallory’s actions.
The stakes are much higher now, with more shocking betrayals, and Mallory has some surprises up her sleeve. If you believe she’s shown her hand already, you’re in for a shock.
As a big fan, I’m a little disappointed to hear Lawson says we’ll still be waiting a while to see what happens with Kimmie, Mallory, and the whole Bellaire crew this season. It means we’ll have to be patient to find out how everything unfolds!
