October 2025 will be a fantastic month for Xbox Game Pass, with a strong focus on games being available on the service from day one. 2025 has already seen a trend of high-quality games launching directly onto Game Pass, and that continues in October. In fact, the three top-rated games of the year all debuted on the service on their release date. There are a total of eight day-one games coming to Xbox Game Pass in October, including three new titles from Xbox Game Studios.
Here’s a list of the eight games confirmed to be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. While there might be a few unexpected releases, this selection should keep players entertained for now. Plus, this list doesn’t include games added after launch or those coming later this month – there’s even more content on the way!
Ninja Gaiden 4
The latest installment in the Ninja Gaiden series, *Ninja Gaiden 4*, will be released on October 21st. Developed by Team Ninja and published by Xbox Game Studios, this action-adventure game continues the story from *Ninja Gaiden 3* (released in 2012) and is the seventh main game in the franchise.
Platforms: Xbox Series X and PC
The Outer Worlds 2
The highly anticipated sequel, *The Outer Worlds 2*, is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2025. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment – the team behind the original 2019 game – and published by Xbox Game Studios, the game will continue the tradition of its predecessor as a role-playing game where player decisions heavily impact the story.
Platforms: Xbox Series X and PC
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
So, *Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault* is the sequel to *Moonlighter*, that awesome indie game from 2018! I’m really excited because the same team – Digital Sun and 11 Bit Studios – who made the first one are working on this. It’s coming out on October 23rd, and it looks like it’s still mixing RPG action with shop management, which I loved in the original.
Platforms: PC
Keeper
Keeper is a standout game expected in 2025, largely because it was only recently revealed. Developed by the well-respected Double Fine Productions and published by Xbox, Keeper blends puzzle-solving with adventure gameplay – a style the studio is known for. It’s scheduled to launch on October 17th.
Platforms: Xbox Series X and PC
SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato
StudioBando, a new game developer, is launching its first title, *SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato*, a narrative adventure game, on October 7th.
Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC
Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem
Developer Dinogod is launching their first game, *Bounty Star*, on October 23rd, and they’re partnering with Annapurna Interactive to do it. This 3D action game offers a unique mix of gameplay, including fast-paced combat, building and managing a base, and even farming – all experienced from an over-the-shoulder perspective.
Platforms: Xbox Series X and PC
Little Rocket Lab
Little Rocket Lab is a relaxing simulation game from Teenage Astronauts, with support from publisher No More Robots. It’s scheduled to launch on October 7th.
