Konami will be livestreaming more about Metal Gear Solid during next week’s Tokyo Game Show. The stream will focus on the online Fox Hunt mode for the upcoming game, MGS Delta: Snake Eater. While Konami plans to survey viewers for feedback after the stream, the survey questions have already been published online.
The Metal Gear Network recently posted a fascinating question online: “Which Metal Gear games would you most like to see remade?”
You can choose from a wide range of Metal Gear games, including the original Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Sons of Liberty, Guns of the Patriots, Peace Walker, and the latest titles, Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. (Note: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is not included in this selection.)
The Japanese publisher recently re-released the third main game in the series for modern consoles, with assistance from Virtuos. As Snake Eater is the first game in the story, it’s a great starting point for new players. If Konami decides to continue re-releasing the games in order, Peace Walker would be next, then Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain.
Fans have been asking for a complete remake of the original Metal Gear Solid for PlayStation for a long time, so we expect this to be a popular choice in the survey.
As a big Metal Gear fan, I was really excited to see Konami hinted at a Volume 2 of the Master Collection! They actually listed it as an option when asking fans what they wanted to see in a future livestream. The first volume dropped in October 2023 and finally brought Metal Gear Solid, 2, and 3 to modern consoles, so we all naturally assumed a second one would follow pretty quickly. It’s been almost two years now, and we’re still waiting for the next collection – hopefully it’s still in the works!
