When Sharon departed, she took her son, Albie Watts, with her. Albie is the son she shares with her ex-husband, Phil Mitchell. Sharon and Phil were about to get back together, but their reconciliation fell apart when Phil learned she had a one-night stand with his brother, Grant Mitchell, who is also Sharon’s first husband.

Sharon is completely stunned when she spots her former rival, Zoe Slater (played by Michelle Ryan), looking back at her from the Slater family home.
Sharon and Zoe had a tense standoff, with a long, silent exchange of looks. Sharon then went inside with her son, Albie, while Zoe watched, looking puzzled.
What happened between Sharon Watts and Zoe Slater in EastEnders?

Viewers may remember when Sharon and Zoe were both in love with Sharon’s adopted brother, Dennis Rickman (played by Nigel Harman), who later became her second husband. They were strong rivals for his affection.
Although Dennis was dating Zoe, he was deeply in love with Sharon. They had planned to leave Walford together on Christmas Day in 2004, but Dennis’s and Sharon’s manipulative father, Den Watts (played by Leslie Grantham), intervened. He convinced Zoe to falsely claim she was pregnant with Dennis’s baby, derailing their escape.
Sharon departed Walford with Vicki, while Dennis remained with Zoe. Zoe then faced difficulties trying to start a family with Dennis, and Den exploited the situation, manipulating her into having a relationship with him so she would become pregnant.
Dennis discovered Zoe was having an affair with his father. Heartbroken, he broke up with her and then sought out Sharon, hoping to get back together.
After their affair ended, Zoe discovered she was pregnant with Den’s baby. However, Den’s wife, Chrissie Watts (played by Tracy-Ann Oberman), angrily convinced her to have an abortion.

Chrissie and Zoe joined forces with a resentful Sam Mitchell to get back at Den. They orchestrated Sharon’s return, hoping she’d see Den’s true nature. This led to a violent fight where Den attacked Chrissie. Zoe intervened, hitting him with a doorstop and believing she’d killed him to protect Chrissie. After Zoe left, Den regained consciousness, but Chrissie ultimately killed him with the same doorstop.
I couldn’t believe what I found out! Sam knew the whole time, but Chrissie let Zoe believe she’d killed someone. Then, they actually buried Den’s body – in cement, right under the Queen Vic! Eventually, Sam finally told Zoe the truth, and she completely lost it, punching Chrissie right there. And on top of everything, Zoe confessed she’d had an abortion – it wasn’t a miscarriage like everyone thought. It was all so shocking.
In 2005, Zoe patched things up with Dennis and Sharon before leaving Walford for Ibiza, sharing a tearful farewell with Kat. Later that year, the truth about Den’s murder came out, leading to Chrissie being sentenced to 20 years in prison and Sam fleeing for four years.
In 2006, Zoe had twins. Sadly, her daughter passed away, and her son was abandoned, reportedly due to Zoe’s emotional distress. The boy’s father has never been identified.
What’s next for Sharon Watts in EastEnders?

Sharon reconnects with her adopted half-sister, Vicki, and her biological half-brother, Zack Hudson, but she’s still preoccupied with Zoe and determined to face her.
Despite any tension, Sharon eventually heads to the Vic and calls a truce with Zoe.
Sharon and Phil are still a bit uncomfortable around each other, but Sharon attempts to improve things by asking Phil to babysit Albie, and he accepts.
Sharon then confronts Vicki about the money she owes, but Vicki is deeply upset by Joel’s actions and runs out. She bumps into Zoe, and the two women start fighting. Zack is accidentally hit while trying to stop them, along with Dr. Anthony Trueman.

Sharon enjoys a pleasant connection with Phil, but quickly learns about the conflict between Vicki and Zoe.
Sharon rushed to the Vic to confront Zoe, but she was stunned when Zoe revealed something shocking, leaving Sharon both disbelieving and angry.
Kat kicks Sharon and Vicki out of the pub. Sharon is shaken by Zoe’s confession and finds comfort in her ex-husband, Ian Beale, and his mother, Kathy. While Sharon is confused, Ian is convinced Zoe is not telling the truth, and Kat and her husband, Alfie, are also skeptical of Zoe’s story.
Just what is Zoe claiming, and is she telling the truth? And, if so, what will Sharon do now?
