As promised by developer GSC Game World, Update 1.6 has arrived for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
The game isn’t available on PS5 just yet, but it’s good to get a preview of the enhancements PlayStation players can expect when it launches on November 20th.
The ‘Night of the Hunter’ update brings new features to the game, including night vision goggles, a laser sight, and the ability to adjust your aiming offset.
However, the most notable improvements are actually under the hood. For instance, the artificial intelligence of non-player characters has been improved to make them behave more realistically, and the way you find items has been adjusted for better balance.

The full patch notes for this one can be found on the game’s official Steam page.
These improvements are only a preview of what GSC Game World is planning. The studio has already announced a much larger set of changes – including a complete overhaul of the game engine – that are still expected to be released before the end of the year.
STALKER 2 will fully support the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller, along with other enhancements. We anticipate the game will be polished and perform well when it launches on PS5 in a few months.
