Following problems with releases on other systems, *Borderlands 4* will no longer be released on October 3rd for the Nintendo Switch 2. Gearbox Entertainment said they made this difficult decision to ensure fans have the best possible gaming experience.
This means the game will take longer to finish and refine. The developers also want to release it around the same time as cross-save functionality, which they know players are eager to have. They haven’t announced a new release date yet, but Gearbox will share an update when they’ve finalized their plans. Digital pre-orders will be cancelled on September 26th, though Nintendo eShop customers can cancel them sooner if they wish.
Gearbox has been working on improvements for the game on all systems, and they’re currently trying out a field of view adjustment option for console players. Keep an eye out for further news, including a new release date for the Switch 2 version.
