Emilie Kiser is sharing her gratitude.
As someone who’s navigated public grief, I want to share something deeply personal. It’s been almost a month since I spoke openly about the heartbreaking loss of my three-year-old son, Trigg, who tragically drowned in our pool back in May. The outpouring of love and support I’ve received since then has been incredible, and I’m truly grateful from the bottom of my heart. It means the world to me.
Emilie shared on Instagram on September 23rd that she was deeply touched by the outpouring of love, comfort, and support she’d received. She also expressed gratitude to those who had shared their own experiences with grief and loss.
The 26-year-old, who shares 6-month-old son Theodore Kiser with her husband Brady Kiser, said the internet can often be negative, but moments like these show how much support and kindness people can offer one another.
Emilie also noted how she wanted to repay the favor to others in need.
She continued, offering support to anyone experiencing loss, and hoping they’re surrounded by love and the help they need.
After publicly sharing her grief and taking responsibility for the events surrounding Trigg’s death last month, Emilie has officially returned to TikTok.
Emilie, wearing a necklace with ‘Trigg’ on it, admitted she was very nervous at the beginning of a video posted on September 20th. She said she wasn’t sure how to begin, but she would try her best.
I’m not pretending everything is okay, and I don’t want to give that impression by starting to create content again,” she said. “Making videos is actually helping me process things. I’ve missed connecting with you all, but I’m not sure what that will look like going forward.”
Emilie said she’s setting new limits on what she shares on social media and won’t be publicly documenting every step of her healing process.
The influencer explained they didn’t want to publicly share their difficult emotions online, as they were still trying to understand what they were going through. They then offered support to anyone facing similar challenges, sending love and acknowledging how tough it can be.
