Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are releasing a remastered version of *Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition* on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch (including the new Switch 2), and PC via Steam on March 19, 2026.
Here are the first details, via PlayStation Blog:
Dynasty Warriors 3 is an action game based on the historical Three Kingdoms period. Players choose from over 40 characters and battle huge armies in epic, large-scale conflicts. This version is a remastered re-release of the original game from 2001, and it retains the core gameplay that made the series popular. It introduced many features still found in later games, like the ‘True Musou’ mode, two-player co-op, and a system for developing your chosen officer’s abilities.
The game now looks dramatically better thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 5. But this isn’t just a visual upgrade; it also includes all the content from the *Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends* expansion, adding even more battles, characters, and weapons. The gameplay and menus have been improved to feel familiar to the original game, while also making the experience smoother and more fun.
Enjoy the revived epic battles of the 1 vs. 1,000 in the modern era.
