Kingsglory Publishing and Pawprint Studio have revealed a new trailer and screenshots for their upcoming free-to-play action RPG, *Aniimo*. The reveal happened at Tokyo Game Show 2025, and the game features open-world exploration and creature catching.
The latest trailer introduces Aniimo, the unique creatures central to the game. These Aniimo live in the world of Idyll and will join players as companions on their adventures. Players will find that each Aniimo has its own personality and reacts to its surroundings – things like weather and new locations – in different ways. Some might be friendly, others playful or defensive, and they can be found living with others or wandering alone.
During a recent gameplay preview, several Aniimo were showcased to demonstrate how these vibrant creatures will interact with both their surroundings and each other.
- Stellarys – An evolution of Celestis that can only occur on rainy days, Stellarys uses water to defend and attack and travels alone across Idyll, in stark contrast to Celestis. Because a Celestis that is already owned by a Pathfinder will no longer evolve into Stellarys when in rainy weather, players who want to add a Stellarys to their roster must find and capture one in the wild.
- Helgon and Helmut – Helgons can exploit Helmuts’ weaknesses in the wild, provoking them to evolve in one of two ways. Most often, Helmut will evolve into Rookguard, which gives them the ability to transform into a metal sphere, thus protecting themselves from Helgon. However, in some rare cases, the bravest Helmuts may instead evolve into Pawney, allowing them to challenge Infregon, the Helgon’s family boss.
This is just a small taste of the diverse Aniimo you’ll find, and Pathfinders will uncover even more as they explore Idyll. If you’re excited to experience *Aniimo*, you can pre-register on the official website for updates and a chance to participate in future beta tests.
Aniimo is due out for Xbox Series, PC via Microsoft Store, iOS, and Android in 2026.
