New details have emerged during the investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
After the body of a 15-year-old was found in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to singer D4vd on September 8th, detectives searched a property in the Hollywood Hills near where the car was located, according to the Los Angeles Times. The vehicle was later towed to a Hollywood impound lot.
Investigators found electronics and computers while searching a home on Sunset Blvd related to the case, according to law enforcement sources who aren’t permitted to discuss it publicly. Musician D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, doesn’t own the property, but sources previously told ABC News he had been staying there before starting his Withered World Tour earlier this summer.
TopMob News has reached out to the LAPD but has not heard back.
Investigators are still trying to figure out how Rivas Hernandez and D4vd are connected. According to the *Times*, the Los Angeles Police Departmentâs robbery-homicide unit is handling the investigation.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m following the news regarding D4vd closely. Right now, the LAPD hasn’t released any information about potential suspects or persons of interest. I’m told by his team that D4vd is cooperating fully with the investigation. He’s also made the difficult decision to cancel the rest of his tour, and his website doesn’t currently list any upcoming shows. It’s a tough situation, and we’re sending him our support.

D4vd, whose full name is David Anthony Burke, was born in Queens, New York, and later moved to Houston, Texas, at the age of 13.
D4vd started his career by streaming games like Fortnite on YouTube, hoping to gain a large audience. In 2021, he faced problems with copyrighted music in his videos, so he asked his mom for help.
He explained to Benny Blanco in a September 2024 interview with *Hero* magazine that he felt lost and was venting to his mother about his financial struggles. He told her he didnât know what to do since he wasnât earning any money. She simply told him to make his own music and left him alone. Thatâs when he realized he could actually try doing that himself.
D4vd, who hadn’t had any formal musical training beyond singing casually, began creating music using an app on his phone. His songs quickly gained popularity online, and as more of his original tracks went viral on TikTok, his music career started to flourish.
Oh my gosh, I still remember when he *finally* dropped his first album, Withered, in April 2025! It was everything I’d hoped for, and then, unbelievably, he announced a world tour right after! I was losing my mind trying to get tickets, of course!
On September 8th, police were sent to a Hollywood tow yard after reports of a bad smell coming from a car, according to NBC News sources.
Los Angeles police discovered human remains inside a Teslaâs front trunk. The car was registered to David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, in Hempstead, Texas.
According to police, the car was taken to the impound lot after being left abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.
On September 16th, the Los Angeles County Medical Examinerâs Office confirmed the remains found in a Tesla belonged to Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had been missing since April 5, 2024. She was 13 years old when she disappeared.
Records from the Medical Examinerâs Office, obtained by TopMob News on September 17th, show the official cause of death is still under investigation. While her body was found on September 8th, authorities believe it had been in the car for a significant amount of time beforehand and was badly decomposed.
After learning about the death of Rivas Hernandez, a representative for D4vd told NBC News that the singer has been notified and is working with the police, even while continuing his current tour.
Since then, D4vd canceled the remainder of his U.S. dates.
