Konami has updated fans on *Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2*. Last year, they released *Vol. 1*, bringing many of the original *Metal Gear Solid* games to modern consoles and PCs. Soon after, Konami announced a second collection would follow, including the remaining games not in the first volume. News about *Vol. 2* had been quiet until now.
Konami’s Noriaki Okamura recently shared a quick update on *Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2* at Tokyo Game Show (as reported by @Kuwabara357). He confirmed the collection is still being developed and actively worked on, but details about its release date are not yet available.
Okamura shared that development is progressing well on the project, even while the team is also working on *Metal Gear Solid Delta*. He promised to share updates on both its progress and future plans soon, but asked for a little more patience. While he couldn’t give a specific timeframe, he assured fans the project is on track and looking good, and that more information will be revealed when they’re ready.
Which Metal Gear Games Will Be in Master Collection Vol. 2?

Aside from confirming the existence of *Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2*, Konami hasn’t revealed what games will be included. Most fans expect the collection to feature *Metal Gear Solid: Peace Maker*, *Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots*, and *Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain*.
As a huge Metal Gear fan, I’ve been waiting *years* to see Metal Gear Solid 4 come to new consoles! It’s been stuck on the PS3 ever since it came out in 2008, which makes it really tough to replay. Seriously, it’s been over a decade of requests, and it’s awesome to finally see it potentially happening!
We’re hoping to get more concrete news about *Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2* soon. While a release sometime in 2026 seems possible, Konami hasn’t announced any official release dates yet.
