One Piece Has Bad News for Anime Fans in October

The *One Piece* anime is currently showing the exciting Egghead Incident Arc, but things are getting complicated with new villains appearing. While the manga has moved on to a new story in Elbaf, the anime is still working through the Egghead arc. Unfortunately, the series will pause for two weeks in October after episode 1145 airs on September 28th, 2025. Episode 1146, originally scheduled for October 5th, will now be released on October 19th, 2025.

Although the information isn’t officially confirmed, the source is well-known for accurate *One Piece* updates. There’s no news about a potential broadcast on October 5th, and it likely isn’t related to the anime. However, a recap episode focusing on the CP0 agents will air on October 12th. While *One Piece* often includes weekly recap breaks, it’s been a while since there was a longer pause, especially right before a key moment in the story. Still, given Toei Animation’s work so far, it should be a worthwhile break.

One Piece’s Anime Will Soon Enter the Final Phase of the Egghead Incident Arc

Episode 1144 delivered a huge surprise with the unexpected appearance of the Five Elders, finally revealing their appearances. It’s clear the World Government is determined to eliminate a significant number of people, and the Straw Hat Pirates have thwarted every attempt at doing so. They deployed CP0, a massive fleet of 100 Marine ships led by Vice Admirals and Admiral Kizaru, but even with Saint Jaygarcia Saturn joining the fight, they still don’t have enough forces to contain a Yonko-level crew and Jewelry Bonney.

With the powerful Giant Pirates now on Egghead, the remaining Elders were forced to use the mysterious teleportation circle to arrive as well. Episode 1145 will show Luffy meeting Dorry and Brogy again, a reunion that hasn’t happened since their adventure in Little Garden. The three will team up to fight the Elders, but the villains’ unusual abilities will be a tough match. This is likely the start of the major Egghead Incident, hinting that even more surprising and world-altering events are still to come.

The upcoming episodes will reveal the reasons behind the World Government’s intense efforts to stop Vegapunk. Currently, Zoro and Lucci are locked in a fierce battle with no end in sight. Jinbe is on his way to help Zoro, while the rest of the Straw Hat crew focuses on escaping the island. It’s already been established that their next stop is Elbaf, and now that Luffy has rejoined them, the Giant Pirates will likely be the ones to take them there.
