Prepare to love Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding like a love song. 

Singer Selena Gomez and music producer Benny Blanco got married on September 27th. Gomez shared the happy news on Instagram with photos and videos of the couple looking joyful and posing together.

On her wedding day, Selena wore a beautiful satin gown that showed off her shoulders, while Benny looked handsome in a traditional black tuxedo with a bowtie.

The wedding ceremony is happening nine months after Benny, 37, proposed during a December picnic. Selena, 33, shared the news on Instagram with a picture of her ring, taken while they were enjoying the picnic with Taco Bell.

Oh my gosh, she posted the *most* amazing photo! It was this gorgeous shot, and right next to it was a super close-up of her ring – a marquise diamond, can you believe it?! And the caption? Just… “Forever begins now…”! I’m literally screaming, it’s finally happening! I’ve been following her for years and this is everything I’ve dreamed of!

After getting engaged, Selena Gomez immediately started thinking about her wedding. Her fiancé playfully told *Rolling Stone* in March that she’d already planned countless versions of the event in her mind.

But that’s not to say they’re rushing down the aisle. In fact, just the opposite.

We’re really taking things day by day and are still deeply affected by what happened,” Benny explained. “Actually, while you were speaking, she was right there, looking at her ring.

While planning their wedding, the couple also made their first album together, I Said I Love You First, recording it all at home.

Selena shared that working on the project was a deeply personal experience. ‘We built it from the ground up at home, surrounded by the people closest to us,’ she explained.

She explained that the project really blended their personal experiences and memories. Because of this, the songs could hold different meanings for each of them, which she thought was sweet.

As for the album’s title, Selena will take responsibility for that.

“But, yeah, guilty as charged,” she admitted. “I said ‘I love you’ first.”

For the couple, releasing this album feels like a dream come true, as their relationship started almost twenty years ago when they initially connected over a possible music project.

Benny shared in an April 2024 interview with SiriusXM Hits 1 that he and the artist first connected around 16 or 17 years ago. He explained that before they collaborated on any songs, he attended an important meeting with her as she was transitioning from Disney to pursue her own music career.

Interestingly, they actually collaborated on several songs together, including her single “Single Soon,” which came out in August 2023. It’s a bit ironic that they started working on the song right before they began dating in July 2023-well before their relationship was publicly confirmed in December of that year.

As close as they are now, their romance took the Grammy winning producer by surprise.

Benny recalled to Howard Stern in May 2024 that he didn’t realize he was on a date with his partner until she pointed it out. He said she casually asked if he wanted to hang out, and he agreed. Then, she commented that she would have dressed differently if she’d known it was a date, which surprised him – he hadn’t realized it *was* a date!

Flash forward almost two years later and the couple has officially said “I do.”

“She’s truly my best friend,” he added. “We laugh all f–king day. She inspires me.”

Selena echoed this sentiment, telling *Time* magazine in May 2024 that these things often happen unexpectedly.
