Marvel Studios might be planning an all-female Avengers team for the next phase of movies, specifically in *Avengers: Doomsday* and *Avengers: Secret Wars*. Several powerful female heroes have already been introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Captain Marvel leading the way with her own film. Though many of these heroes teamed up in *Avengers: Endgame*, upcoming movies could finally give us a dedicated all-female Avengers lineup.
Many fans were underwhelmed by the short-lived team-up of female heroes in *Avengers: Endgame*. Though it was exciting to see characters like Rescue, Mantis, Black Panther’s Shuri, Gamora, and Valkyrie fight together, the idea of a dedicated female Avengers team deserves a better showcase in the MCU. A great source of inspiration would be Marvel’s A-Force comic series, which debuted in 2015’s *Secret Wars*. Seeing those five heroes team up would be fantastic.
5) Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel, played by Brie Larson, is the most natural choice for an all-female Avengers team. She was the first woman to lead an MCU film, debuting in her own movie in 2019. Despite facing a lot of unfair criticism and her recent film, *The Marvels*, performing poorly at the box office, including Captain Marvel – possibly as the leader – would be a great way to give her character the recognition she deserves.
4) Layla El-Faouly’s Scarlet Scarab

The MCU has introduced a lot of new heroes who haven’t been seen since their initial stories, and fans are eager to see Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac) return. It would be fantastic to also bring back his ally, Layla El-Faouly, who becomes the superhero Scarlet Scarab. As the first Egyptian superhero in the MCU, played by May Calamawy, Scarlet Scarab is a significant character with incredible, largely unexplored potential, being the avatar of the goddess Taweret. She could even fill a role similar to Thor in a future, all-female Avengers team, bringing a unique power source with her connection to an Egyptian goddess and ultimately raising the stakes for the MCU.
3) Jennifer Walters’ She-Hulk

As a huge Marvel fan, I was really excited about She-Hulk when she first appeared in *She-Hulk: Attorney at Law* back in 2022. Even though the special effects weren’t always perfect, Tatiana Maslany totally nailed the role, and I thought Jennifer Walters had a really fun and promising debut. Honestly, with Maslany recently speaking out against Disney, it feels like we might not see She-Hulk back in the MCU, which would be a shame. She’s a fantastic character who deserves more screen time and development, especially because her first series tackled issues specifically faced by female heroes. I’d love to see her join an all-female superhero team – imagine the possibilities!
2) Yelena Belova’s Black Widow

Florence Pugh’s character, Yelena Belova, has gone through a lot since first appearing in the movie *Black Widow* in 2021. She escaped the Red Room, worked to liberate other Black Widow assassins, took on mercenary work for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and even helped save New York City. By the end of 2025’s *Thunderbolts*, Yelena had joined the New Avengers, but she might leave that team to join a new, all-female Avengers group. Given her history of working well with other strong women, that would be a natural fit for her.
1) Wanda Maximoff’s Scarlet Witch

Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, has faced a lot of hardship. She started as a villain with Ultron, later joined the Avengers, and was devastated by Vision’s death. This grief led her down a dark path, influenced by a dangerous book, and turned her into a villain once more. Even though she seemingly died in the 2022 film *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*, many fans believe she’ll return. It would be fantastic to see Elizabeth Olsen play her again, this time as a hero trying to make amends.
Scarlet Witch is incredibly powerful, and giving her a spot on an all-female Avengers team could be the perfect way to show her growth after the events of *Multiverse of Madness*. She’s realized her mistakes and deserves a chance at redemption, and surrounding her with other strong women and heroes would be the ideal path to bring her back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
