Get ready for more adventures with the Forger family! A new season of *Spy x Family* is coming in Fall 2025, and it’s the perfect time to revisit past episodes. After a couple of years, Season 3 will bring back the hilarious chaos of Loid, Yor, and Anya’s lives, filled with spy missions, secret assassinations, and Anya’s incredible psychic abilities. New episodes are arriving next month!
Season 3 of *Spy x Family* will continue the story directly after the events of Season 2, adapting more of the original manga by Tatsuya Endo. With the premiere scheduled for October 4th on Crunchyroll and Hulu, now is a perfect time to revisit some of the most memorable episodes that have made this anime so popular. Here are our recommendations for episodes to watch before Season 3 arrives this Fall.

7.) Spy x Family Code: White
While not a typical episode, *Spy x Family Code: White* is a full-length film released after the second season and a great way to re-immerse yourself in the world of *Spy x Family*. You might have missed it in theaters, so now’s the time to watch! It tells a brand new story, separate from the manga, and focuses on the Forger family with some impressively large-scale action sequences. It’s a standalone story that won’t affect the main plot, but it’s a fantastic showcase for the characters.

6.) Operation Strix – Season 1, Episode 1
If you’re looking to quickly enjoy *Spy x Family* again, starting with the first episode is a fantastic idea. It perfectly sets up the entire story: a spy, known as Twilight, must create a fake family to get close to his target. His plan involves getting a child into an elite school, hoping to naturally connect with the person he’s investigating, and the episode showcases Twilight’s impressive spy skills. However, the truly captivating part comes when he meets Anya, his adopted daughter, who secretly uses her psychic abilities to win him over while concealing her struggles at school. It’s the beginning of a much larger and exciting adventure.

5.) Show Off How In Love You Are – Season 1, Episode 9
A key reason fans love *Spy x Family* is the fake marriage between a spy and an assassin. They both pretend to be a couple to hide their true professions, and this episode focuses on them actually *acting* like they’re in love. Early in the first season, Loid and Yor were still learning about each other, and this was the first hint that real romantic feelings might develop beneath their deception. That playful dynamic has grown over time, and this episode nicely reminds us of how it all began.

4.) The Symphony Upon the Ship – Season 2, Episode 8
Fans of *Spy x Family* were eager to see Yor, the assassin, fully in action, and Season 2 delivers with an entire story arc dedicated to her skills. This arc showcases just how deadly she is, culminating in a series of intense and violent fights. It’s a side of Yor we haven’t often seen in the anime so far, and hopefully, we’ll get to witness more of her fierce abilities in future episodes.

3.) Part of the Family – Season 2, Episode 12
At the end of Season 2, the Forger family gains a new member: a dog named Bond. Surprisingly, Bond can see the future, and he forms a special connection with Anya because she can read his thoughts. Beyond being a cute addition to the show, Bond’s past is likely connected to the secrets surrounding Anya’s abilities and the larger Project Apple storyline – something the anime will explore further.

2.) First Contact – Season 1, Episode 25
The season one finale was a pivotal moment, as Loid finally managed to get close to his target, Donovan Desmond. Desmond had been difficult to reach, but thanks to Anya and Eden Academy, Loid was able to begin gathering crucial information. The episode also clearly established the high stakes of Operation Strix, hinting that the mission would be far more challenging than Loid anticipated. It suggested that the Forger family would need to work together and persevere for a long time to succeed.

1.) Follow Mama and Papa – Season 2, Episode 1
Although the main storylines in *Spy x Family* are important for the overall plot, it’s the smaller, everyday adventures of the Forger family that truly make the show special. The season 2 premiere perfectly showcases this, blending those lighthearted moments with glimpses of Yor’s secret life as an assassin. The episode centers around Yor and Loid’s date, which is complicated by Yor’s injury – she keeps making strange faces that Loid can’t explain. Meanwhile, Anya is playfully pretending to be a spy while following them. This kind of fun, low-stakes episode is likely how Season 3 will begin, making the premiere a great re-introduction to the show’s charming atmosphere.
