Nicole Kidman’s divorce filings are shedding light on her finances with Keith Urban.
Just one day after news of their separation after 19 years of marriage became public, the Oscar-winning actor officially filed for divorce on September 30th. The filing stated “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and included a Parenting Plan detailing the couple’s finances and how they would co-parent.
According to documents obtained by TopMob News, Nicole’s attorney created a Child Support Worksheet as part of the custody arrangement for her daughters, Sunday Rose, age 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. The worksheet indicated that both Nicole and Keith each earn $100,000 per month.
It’s not shocking that they earn so much, especially since Forbes recently calculated her earnings to be even greater. Nicole ranked as the eighth highest-paid celebrity in 2024-and the top-earning actress-with a total of $31 million from her television series The Perfect Couple, Lioness, and Expats, plus her movies Babygirl and A Family Affair.
However, Keith won’t receive any of that money. The divorce papers clearly state that neither the Moulin Rouge actress nor the “Long Hot Summer” singer will pay any alimony or spousal support to the other. They’ve also decided not to provide any child support, with both parties agreeing to a total of $0 to help with the costs of raising their children.
Regarding the custody arrangements, Nicole, 58, requested to be designated as the “primary residential parent,” meaning Sunday and Faith would live with her for 306 days each year and with Keith, 57, for 59 days. Both celebrities approved and signed the Parenting Plan several weeks ago.
Even though Nicole’s primary home is in Nashville, she’s accustomed to her teenage children joining her on location while she films internationally. In fact, due to her work, her kids have already experienced life in several countries, including France, Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. It’s quite a global upbringing!
She told L’Officiel in 2024, “I enjoy traveling, and that’s something not everyone is up for.” She also mentioned her children share her adventurous spirit. “They’re happy to travel too… perhaps not quite as much now [as they get older], but they’re really curious about the world.” She playfully added that they’ve collected so many passport stamps, more than most people in their eighties.”
Soon after the news of the couple’s split became public, TopMob News discovered that Keith was the one who initiated the breakup. Meanwhile, Nicole had been trying hard to reconcile, even though they had been living separately since early summer.
After the news broke, people began looking at Paddington star and Grammy winner Nicole Kidman’s past social media posts differently. In June, Nicole had shared a photo of the couple on Instagram to mark their 19th wedding anniversary. However, Keith Urban didn’t post anything himself, simply leaving a heart emoji as a comment on Nicole’s post.
People noticed back in July when Nicole-who also has children Bella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with her former husband Tom Cruise-applied to become a resident of Portugal. However, she didn’t include Keith on the application.
However, someone familiar with the situation explained to TopMob News that the reason for the absence was just a scheduling issue. They stated, “Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring in the U.S.”
Applicants must be physically present to apply for the visa,” the source stated. “He plans to submit his application when his travel schedule allows.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban quietly separated and began living separately around the start of summer, according to TopMob News. Several significant events during the summer then contributed to their decision to file for divorce.
His High and Alive World Tour began in Alabama, and he spent the summer touring the U.S., Canada, and Australia. It was a busy season!
They were last seen together in public at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in Nashville, and appeared to be enjoying themselves, laughing and smiling.
To celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary in June, Kidman shared a picture of the couple online, writing, “Happy Anniversary Baby.” Urban responded with a heart emoji, but he didn’t share a post himself.
People were surprised when the country singer suddenly stopped an interview after a question about the chemistry between Kidman and Zac Efron in the movie A Family Affair.
A radio host on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning started a conversation by saying, “Given how often your wife, the wonderful Nicole Kidman, appears in so many fantastic movies and TV shows, I was wondering… what does Keith Urban think when he sees her sharing romantic scenes with handsome, younger actors like Zac Efron on television and radio?”
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
“He’s no longer connected to Zoom,” a radio station employee explained. “It seems his team ended the call, likely because they didn’t want us to bring up that question.”
His rep didn’t respond to TopMob’s request for comment at the time.
Sources at TopMob News have discovered that the Practical Magic actress has applied for residency in Portugal, and Urban is reportedly planning to do the same.
According to a source familiar with the matter, “Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring the U.S.,” TopMob reports. The source added that attending in person is required to apply for the visa, and Keith plans to submit his application when his tour schedule allows.
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.
In an interview, the couple’s oldest daughter, Sunday Rose, described how her parents run their household, explaining that they have “two big rules” they always follow.
She explained to Nylon that she faced two main limitations. First, she wasn’t able to pursue any fashion-related jobs until she turned 16. Second, her education always needed to be her top priority. Initially, she didn’t like this rule, but now she’s grateful for it, saying it helps her stay focused and positive.
Nicole Kidman posted some photos on Sunday showcasing her summer vacation with her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. However, her husband wasn’t featured in the Instagram post.
“Summer memories,” the actress wrote. “Now back to school.”
During August, her attorney created a Child Support Worksheet as part of a Parenting Plan. This document specified that Kidman and Urban would share legal responsibility for their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
Oh my gosh, you guys, it’s just… heartbreaking to read the details! Apparently, in the legal documents, she’s officially the “primary residential parent” – which basically means she has the girls the vast majority of the time. I mean, they spend 306 days a year with *her*! And poor Keith? He only gets them for 59 days. It says he gets them every other weekend, which… ugh, it’s just not fair! I feel so bad for him, but honestly, she’s just amazing at being a mom, and the girls clearly need her the most. It’s all so complicated, but I’m just team-her all the way!
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.
The parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with their child, even after their divorce, it stated. They will refrain from speaking negatively about each other or anyone in the other parent’s family. They will also encourage each child to continue loving both parents and feel at ease in both family environments.
Urban finalized their divorce agreement, having it officially notarized in August, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.
The document explained that Kidman planned to file for divorce from him because they had differences they couldn’t resolve. It also mentioned that neither of them would receive alimony or financial support after the divorce.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.
One week following Urban’s actions, the actress also had the Marital Dissolution Agreement officially notarized and signed the Parenting Plan.
On the same day, a judge approved an order requiring both celebrities to attend a required parenting class, unless they request an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.
Even though she had already signed the necessary papers, she continued to wear her engagement ring when she attended an event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.
The split between the couple made news, with TopMob News reporting that they had secretly ended their relationship. The pair had been dating since 2005.
The Big Little Lies actress has officially filed for divorce, stating that they separated on the day the paperwork was submitted: September 30, 2025.
The couple’s Marital Dissolution Agreement and Parenting Plan were both filed with a Tennessee court on the same day for approval.
