Developer The Chinese Room has unveiled a fresh trailer for its highly anticipated urban horror action RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The trailer, available below, showcases the voice actors bringing the game’s characters to life. We get a preview of how they’ll sound, including Tommy Sim’aan and Hara Yannas voicing the male and female versions of Phyre, Jane Perry’s portrayal of Lou Graham, and Amrita Acharia as Safia Ulusoy.
The trailer mainly consists of scattered lines of dialogue delivered by different characters from Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Because of this, it doesn’t reveal much about the story or show off any gameplay. However, we do get a glimpse of the personalities these characters will have when the game is released.
This trailer arrives shortly before Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 launches on October 21st. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. If you’re a PC gamer wondering if your computer can run this action RPG, you can review the system requirements released last month. They also confirmed the game will need approximately 30 GB of storage space.
The release date announcement caused some disagreement, as pre-orders showed that publisher Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room intended to make two playable vampire clans available only through an add-on pack. This pack could be purchased separately for $21.99, or as part of a pricier Premium Edition of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
I was really surprised to learn that the Toreador and Lasombra clans weren’t originally going to be in the base game! Apparently, they were planned for the Shadows & Silk add-on. Initially, the developers only intended to have four playable clans: Brujah, Banu Haqim, Tremere, and Ventrue. Now, as a big fan of Vampire: The Masquerade, I know how important clans are – they’re basically your character’s “class” in the tabletop RPG – so there was a lot of disappointment when this was revealed. People really wanted more options from the start, and I can totally understand why!
After some discussion, Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room decided to include Toreador and La Sombra in the standard version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. They adjusted their plans for downloadable content (DLC) by adding two new story expansions, called Loose Cannon and The Flower & The Flame. These expansions will let players experience the game as Camarilla Sheriff Benny Muldoon and Primogen Ysabella Moore. Both story packs are included in the Premium Edition and are scheduled for release in 2026.
As you anticipate the arrival of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 later this month, take a look back at the trailer released in August. It showcases the story and gameplay from the game’s 1920s setting, where you’ll play as Fabien, a Malkavian detective who is somehow connected to the main character, Phyre – he’s essentially ‘inside’ her head.
