Pokemon Legends: Z-A ‘Overview’ trailer

The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, and Game Freak have just launched a six-minute trailer giving an overview of Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Here is a brief overview of the game, via Nintendo:

Start your adventure by picking Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile as your first Pokemon partner, and begin exploring Lumiose City. Throughout your journey, you’ll find many different Pokemon both in town and roaming freely in the wild zones. Catch, battle, and even Mega Evolve them in real-time battles-a new feature for the Pokemon RPG series-to build a powerful team and rise through the ranks of the prestigious Z-A Royale. You can also team up with friends either locally or online with a Nintendo Switch Online membership2, and challenge up to three other Trainers in fast-paced, all-out battles.

When you’re not battling, you can make Hotel Z your base of operations-and get to know its mysterious owner, AZ. Explore stylish shops for fresh clothes and looks, relax at cafés with your Pokémon, and take pictures at beautiful spots like the Prism Tower in the heart of the city. Lumiose City is also home to many interesting people. Befriend people like Urbain and Taunie, meet Quasartico Inc.’s CEO, Jett, and help the city’s residents to receive rewards and other benefits.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is due out for Switch 2 and Switch on October 16.
