As expected, Bandai Namco plans to keep updating Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero through 2026. A recent trailer hinted at a new announcement coming in January.
It’s hard to believe, but this action-packed game has actually been available for almost a year now! It first came out on PS5 on October 11th, 2024.
Over time, the game has gotten three downloadable content (DLC) packs, each adding several new characters you can play as. These packs are all included in a single Season Pass, so we expect a Season Pass 2 to be released eventually.

A number of players feel that Sparking! Zero hasn’t received enough downloadable content and updates, especially considering its strong sales over the past year. Specifically, it took Bandai Namco a surprisingly long time to address problems with the game’s balance and online connectivity. Many feel this was an oversight given the game’s popularity.
Even so, the current list of fighters is surprisingly large, totaling 208 – and it seems like even more will be added soon.
