Yet, a tragic twist unfolds when Hikaru apparently dies on a hiking expedition in the mountains. Though the town grieves deeply for him, their sorrow proves futile as he miraculously reappears a week later, perfectly fine.

Though it appears straightforward, the situation is more complex. Yoshiki recognizes that his friend has changed, yet he’s uncertain about how to reverse the influence that seems to have taken over his friend’s being.
