A playable demo for the bullet hell survival deckbuilder Hell Maiden will be available on PC through Steam starting October 13th. This is part of the Steam Next Fest: October 2025 Edition, as announced by the game’s developer, AstralShift.

Okay, so Hell Maiden is seriously cool. It takes the whole ‘survive against endless waves’ idea and mixes it with deck-building – think collecting cards and making the perfect combo. Basically, you’re building a powerful hand of cards to blast through all sorts of nasty demons. It’s an RPG take on Dante’s Divine Comedy, and honestly, it’s a fresh spin on the genre. You collect tons of cards, stack them up, merge them to make even better ones, and then just unleash hell on Hell’s toughest baddies. It’s a really unique way to play!
To overcome all nine Circles of Hell, players will receive assistance from the Poets of Limbo. Their Blessings and Signature Weapons grant special abilities, benefits, and powerful ultimate attacks that can be combined to create incredibly strong character builds.
In the Hell Maiden demo, players will venture into Limbo, the first Circle of Hell, and defeat waves of demonic foes. You’ll have a total of nine Weapon Cards and 17 Mod Cards to combine, allowing you to create strong and unique character builds.
Successfully navigating the difficulties of Limbo will lead you to its ruler, the Judge of Hell, and a thrilling boss battle.
There’s more to discover in Limbo! Players will encounter the first Poet of Limbo and need to save her from Hell. Rescuing her advances the story and, crucially, unlocks three new Weapon Cards and eight Mod Cards that can be combined with your current skills!
Like all games of this type, the appeal of Hell Maiden comes from its diverse content and unlockable features. Every playthrough offers fresh and different character moments and moves the game’s intriguing story forward, hinting at what’s planned for the future Early Access version.
Hell Maiden’s demo can be experienced in seven different languages: English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese.
