Okay, so Ubisoft finally dropped the details on the ‘Valley of Memory’ expansion for Assassin’s Creed Mirage! It’s totally free, which is awesome, but it’s been a while – over two years, actually – since the main game came out. Still, I’m excited to jump back in and see what they’ve added.
This project is a collaboration between Ubisoft and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, with the Saudi fund providing all the necessary funding.
The expansion is widely seen as an attempt by the government to improve its image, especially given its long history of human rights concerns.

The ‘Valley of Memory’ expansion offers about six hours of new gameplay, delving deeper into the history of Basim, the main character from Mirage. It will be available starting November 18th.
Along with the game’s growth, Mirage is receiving a major update that significantly enhances the core gameplay experience.
Here’s a quick breakdown from the developer:
- Smoother Parkour and Mobility Improvements – Enjoy renewed movement with free jumps, height-gaining ejects, and an enhanced control scheme.
- Mission Replay with Animus Sequences – Revisit contracts and key story missions with optional challenges to unlock exclusive rewards, including new color filters inspired by past Assassin’s Creed games.
- Customizable Experience – Try the Hardened or Ultimate Assassin presets for an additional challenge, or customize your own difficulty using a full range of presets.
- Expanded Feature and Fixes – Experiment with a new level 3 upgrade for each tool, an additional skill, and many quality-of-life improvements.
