Hilaria Baldwin Addresses Rumors of Alec Baldwin Marriage Trouble

Hilaria Baldwin doesn’t need a handbook for the married.

Hilaria Baldwin, known from *Dancing with the Stars*, quickly addressed rumors about her 13-year marriage to Alec Baldwin. A fan noticed she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring during rehearsals for season 34 of the ABC show and asked about it, and Hilaria responded with a playful explanation.

Hilaria Baldwin posted an Instagram video on October 5th, responding to a fan question. She joked that she had a ‘stand-in’ for her husband, Alec, while he was away working.

I just saw the cutest video of Alec! He was snuggling with a plushie of his character, Adam, from the original *Beetlejuice* – it was so sweet! Hilaria, who posted it, even set it to music from the movie by Danny Elfman, and made sure her wedding ring was visible. It’s clear how much they both love that film, and it was a really adorable moment.

Oh my gosh, she actually *has* the ring with her! She said she doesn’t wear it to practice, though, because honestly, the routines are so intense and wild, it would just *hurt*! I can’t even imagine! It’s amazing she even brings it around, honestly.

Alec Baldwin, who shares seven children – Carmen (11), Rafael (10), Leonardo (8), Romeo (7), Eduardo and María Lucía (both 4), and Ilaria (2) – with Hilaria, is currently working, but still makes time to support her as she competes on *Dancing with the Stars* with professional partner Gleb Savchenko. Hilaria was thrilled to have her family there cheering her on.

She shared with TopMob News after the show premiered in September that she’s incredibly thankful for her family’s support. She explained that being a mother means prioritizing everyone else, and she embraces that role. She feels she works just as hard as a mom as she does performing.

She said it’s really enjoyable to feel supported while doing what she loves, and that everyone can have fun together.

Hilaria ended up on *Dancing with the Stars* quite unexpectedly, telling TopMob that she decided to join the show at the very last minute.

I only found out about this right as it was beginning – it completely caught me off guard! It all happened so quickly. People started calling, then *Dancing With the Stars* contacted me, and suddenly I was on a plane a couple of days later, wondering how I even got there.

She and her family now live in Los Angeles. Hilaria remembers signing the contract for their new home right after landing at the airport, and she’s happy with the decision they made.

“I did it,” she gushed, “and I’m here and I’m happy.”

Alec Baldwin shared with the New York Times that he met Hilaria Thomas at Pure Food and Wine in New York City in February 2011 and immediately gave her his phone number. They spent some time trying to connect for a date, playing phone tag until they were finally able to schedule dinner together.

That August they enjoyed their first US Open together, one of Alec’s favorite events.

Alec first noticed Hilaria at a charity event in October 2011 – the Elton John AIDS Foundation benefit – and they began living together the next month.

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria first connected at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. He explained that after his divorce, he dated several people and spent a lot of time figuring out what he wanted in a relationship and in life. He realized he was overthinking things and wasn’t prepared to commit to someone until he met Hilaria.

In April 2012, Alec’s rep confirmed to TopMob News that he and Hilaria were engaged.

Hilaria and Ireland Baldwin often share their close friendship on Twitter. Ireland playfully tweeted she’d be a flower girl at a wedding, but she actually served as a bridesmaid.

I always say a wedding is a beautiful reflection of a couple’s style, and this one was no exception! I was so thrilled to witness their vows at the stunning Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Manhattan on June 30th, 2012. The bride looked absolutely radiant in a gorgeous silk magnolia trumpet gown by Amsale, and the groom was incredibly dashing in a classic Tom Ford tux. It was a truly memorable day!

The couple now has seven children: Carmen Gabriela (born August 23, 2013), Rafael Thomas (June 17, 2015), Leonardo Ángel Charles (September 12, 2016), Romeo Alejandro David (May 17, 2018), Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas (September 8, 2020), María Lucía Victoria (born February 25, 2021, via surrogate), and Ilaria Catalina Irena (September 22, 2022).

The whole family will be starring on TLC’s The Baldwins, premiering Feb. 23, 2025.
