The Digimon franchise has entered a new chapter with a fresh anime series, and the premiere of Digimon Beatbreak introduced a brand new opening theme. Following the 25th anniversary celebration of the original anime – which offered a final adventure for the original DigiDestined as adults – Digimon is now focusing on the future. This new series officially kicks off that future, featuring a new generation of chosen children.
The anime *Digimon Beatbreak* recently premiered as part of the busy Fall 2025 season, introducing fans to the new lead character, Tomaro, and his Digimon partner, Gekkomon. This series appears to be starting a fresh chapter for the *Digimon* franchise, and the opening theme song further emphasizes this. The song, titled “Mad Pulse” and performed by MADKID, is available to watch in a creditless version below.
Digimon Beatbreak Makes Its Debut With Rocking Opening
The first episode of *Digimon Beatbreak* has launched, starting a fresh chapter for the Digimon franchise. This series is different from previous ones—instead of a small group of chosen children, many people have Digimon partners. We meet a group called the “Golden Dawn,” and the villain they’re pursuing also has a Digimon that can evolve during fights.
Instead of the classic Digivices from past Digimon series, the new anime, *Digimon Beatbreak*, features egg-shaped devices called “Suppotamons.” These Suppotamons assist people with everyday tasks, functioning similarly to smartphones by connecting to other devices nearby. We’ll discover more about this new world as the Fall 2025 season of *Digimon Beatbreak* continues, and many more secrets will likely be revealed along the way.
What Does This Mean for Digimon’s Future?
Now that the *Digimon* series has entered a new phase, there’s plenty of potential for future developments. The recent premiere of *Digimon Beatbreak* has brought some branding changes, like updated opening logos, but this doesn’t necessarily mean the series is abandoning its roots. While the new installment introduces fresh ideas, it’s likely to still include familiar elements from previous *Digimon* stories.
Despite everything, this is a great chance to revitalize the *Digimon* franchise. *Digimon Beatbreak* feels much more energetic and exciting than *Digimon Ghost Game*, and it has the potential to be a real game-changer, as hinted at by its upbeat opening theme.
