Is DWTS Still Paying Brandon Armstrong After Elimination? The Truth

Brandon Armstrong is not saying goodbye to Dancing with the Stars.

Following the surprising elimination of the professional dancer and his partner, Lauren Jauregui, on the September 30th episode of the show, his wife, Brylee Armstrong, addressed rumors surrounding his time on season 34 of *Dancing with the Stars*.

Brylee explained in a TikTok on October 6th that people are fascinated by what professional athletes do behind the scenes, but it’s rarely discussed. While you can easily find information about celebrities, professional athletic careers are a very specialized field, making details harder to come by.

The 27-year-old, who married Brandon, 31, in July 2022, has been receiving a lot of questions from fans, mostly asking if Brandon still has a job.

Brylee clarified that Brandon is still an active contestant on the show. Even though his partner was eliminated, he isn’t automatically going home and returning to Utah.

The influencer shared that dancers joke about becoming *more* in-demand after being eliminated from the show, since they’re then asked to join other contestants’ performances.

Instead of performing just once each night, they’ll be dancing much more frequently. They’ll essentially join the dance team, acting as part of the background performance group.”

Now that Brandon has been eliminated, he’s free to explore more choreography work, both on the show and elsewhere. He’ll also occasionally assist the remaining professional dancers with their practice sessions.

The influencer also mentioned she’s frequently asked about how much Brandon earns and what would happen if he were eliminated, playfully pointing out that he’s definitely not participating just for fun. She joked, “Seriously, it’s 2025 – nobody has time for a hobby like that!”

I want to be honest with you all. It doesn’t seem like they’re willing to discuss this, which is probably why there’s so little information available. I only know Brandon’s situation and how it affects him, and I don’t think that’s something we should be sharing publicly.

She assured him his salary details are confidential, adding that *Dancing with the Stars* supports its cast and crew, so he didn’t need to be concerned.

I’m thrilled Brandon is still part of the show, honestly! But I’m really bummed he won’t be competing this time. He was amazing last season, making it all the way to the finale with Chandler Kinney – they even placed third! I was so hoping to see him showcase his talent again as a pro.

Brylee shared, “We really appreciate all the support and kind messages we’ve received these past few days. Brandon and I both feel it, and it’s made things a little easier.”
