Coronation Street’s Abi Webster affair is exposed in ITVX release

On Wednesday’s Coronation Street (October 8th), Kevin (Michael Le Vell) discovers his wife Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) has been having an affair with his brother, Carl (Jonathan Howard).

Kevin and Abi have remained friendly despite their separation, and Kevin has invited Abi to join their family for a birthday dinner at the Bistro to celebrate Ronnie Bailey’s birthday.

Debbie, who is both Kevin’s sister and Ronnie’s girlfriend, knows that Abi and Carl are secretly seeing each other.

Although she was upset with both Carl and Abi, she decided not to say anything to spare Kev further pain. She agreed to stay silent if Carl ended things with Abi, but he didn’t keep his promise.

Carl felt uncomfortable at the party, stuck between his two partners, Abi and James Bailey (played by Jason Callender). Abi didn’t know Carl was being unfaithful to her.

Debbie soon notes the intimacy between Carl and Abi and demands that Abi ends things with Carl.

I saw Debbie tell Kevin he needed a lawyer because she didn’t trust Abi. Abi noticed they were talking seriously and immediately thought Debbie was revealing something she shouldn’t – she figured Debbie was telling Kevin about whatever secrets she had.

Oh no! I can just picture the scene: Abi was totally freaking out, so she quickly texted Carl to warn him that Kevin was onto them. But in a classic mistake, she sent it *to* Kevin instead! Talk about a disaster!

Carl quickly needs to find Kev’s phone and erase a message, but Abi’s affair is soon exposed to everyone.

Kevin is furious to discover his wife has been unfaithful and that his half-brother has betrayed him. Debbie feels bad for Kevin, but she’s secretly struggling with guilt because she also participated in the deception.

As things calm down, Kevin makes a surprising move, but what happens next?

Later this week, Kev will tell Abi to leave and will throw her things outside.

Will she regret choosing Carl if his other secrets come to light?
