Microsoft Announces its Lineup of Games for October a Week After the Controversial Xbox Game Pass Price Hike

Following a recent price increase for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – which sparked criticism from some subscribers who threatened to cancel – Microsoft has revealed the games coming to the service this month.

The company says the price increase is due to a larger selection of games, improved benefits for partners, and a better cloud gaming service.

To explain the price hike, Microsoft is offering more games on day one, including access to Ubisoft + Classics and Fortnite Crew. They’ve also improved the streaming quality for Xbox Cloud Gaming.
