Heidi Klum and Seal‘s youngest child just hit a sweet milestone.
Lou Samuel celebrated her 16th birthday on October 9th. Her mom shared family photos and videos spanning the years as a special way to mark the occasion.
Heidi Klum shared a couple of photos: one of herself without makeup posing with her children—Leni, 21, Henry, 20, and Johan, 18—in front of a brick wall, and another of the whole group enjoying time at the beach.
The supermodel shared some old videos of Lou, including a touching clip from her fifth birthday party.
Heidi, 52, shared a sweet birthday message on Instagram for her child, Lou, writing, “Happy 16th Birthday, my beautiful sunshine. I love you so much!”
This month isn’t just for celebrating Lou’s birthday; Heidi says she and Lou both love Halloween!
According to the host of *Project Runway*, Lou is particularly talented at creating her own designs. In a 2024 interview with *People* magazine, the host also mentioned that Lou is a big fan of anime and personally makes all of her own wigs.
Heidi, famous for her detailed Halloween outfits, added, “Honestly, she’s really skilled – better at building things than I am.”
My son Lou is the one who would typically be most resistant to dressing up or anything like that,” the mother of four explained.
Lou probably dressed in traditional Bavarian clothing last month to celebrate her mom’s first HeidiFest in Germany. Both she and her mom wore dirndls – dresses with fitted, laced bodices and aprons – and flower crowns to honor the family’s heritage.
I’ve always felt a strong connection to my German heritage, even though I wasn’t born in Bavaria. As I shared in an interview with *OK!* magazine, I grew up in Germany, and it’s important to me that my children experience that side of me and understand where I come from. It’s about connecting them to their roots, too.

Heidi Klum celebrated HeidiFest 2025 in Munich on September 18th with her children, including Leni Klum and her ex-husband Seal’s sons, Henry Samuel, Johan Samuel, and Lou Klum.
The supermodel was joined by her husband Tom Kaulitz, his brother Bill, and her mother, Erna Klum, as they all celebrated Bavarian culture. Henry’s girlfriend, Kayla Betulius, also joined the group.
Heidi and Leni enjoyed a big German feast.
The supermodel and her daughter Lou were both dressed in dirndls, which are traditional dresses with fitted, laced bodices and full skirts with aprons.
Lou and Johan sat together at the family’s table inside the Hofbräuhaus brewery.
Leni and her boyfriend Aris Rachevsky shared a toast with large beer steins.
