The sequel to Obsidian Entertainment’s 2019 game, *The Outer Worlds*, is almost here! Players on Xbox Series X/S and PC (through the Microsoft Store) can now download the game files in preparation for launch. According to XboxEra, the console download is around 79.5 GB, and the PC version is about 77.3 GB, though it may require up to 110 GB of space when fully installed on Steam.
Although not officially confirmed as ‘gold,’ it appears *The Outer Worlds 2* is still on schedule to release on October 29th. In this first-person shooter/RPG, you play as an agent for the Earth Directorate, sent to the Arcadia system to explore mysterious and dangerous rifts. You’ll encounter three new groups – Auntie’s Choice, The Order of the Ascendant, and The Protectorate – and your choices will determine whether they become allies or enemies.
In *The Outer Worlds 2*, you’ll meet new companions, each with unique stories and personalities – they won’t always see eye-to-eye with your choices! The game also features much larger environments to explore than the first *Outer Worlds*. For example, the Paradise Island area alone could take over a dozen hours to fully discover, offering fresh gameplay and multiple ways to finish quests.
