Lauren Lyle, known for her roles in Karen Pirie and the series about the Pan Am 103 bombing, is returning in the new thriller, The Ridge. We now know exactly when it will be released.
The new six-part series begins on BBC Scotland on Tuesday, October 21st. All episodes will also be available to watch on BBC iPlayer starting the same day.
The psychological thriller will also premiere on BBC Two on Thursday, October 23rd, at 9pm.
Lyle plays Mia in the series, which was shot on location between New Zealand and Scotland.
Mia is starting over after battling addiction and losing her career. She travels to New Zealand for her sister’s wedding, hoping for a fresh start, but is shocked to discover her sister has died.

The series follows Mia, who is struggling with loss and feels strangely drawn to her deceased sister’s fiancé, Ewan (played by Jay Ryan). As she gets closer to him and the tight-knit community, she uncovers hidden secrets and growing tensions that threaten to tear the town apart.
Joining Lyle and Ryan in “The Ridge” are talented actors Dulcie Smart, Florence Hartigan, Chloe Parker, David Van Horn, Taqi Nazeer, Claire Dargo, and Cora Bissett.
Lyle expressed her excitement about starting work on the series back in February, describing it as a unique and suspenseful gothic psychological thriller.
She described Mia as a really interesting character in a strange, but enjoyable, world. She feels like something dramatic – but exciting – is going to happen. She also shared how much she loves New Zealand and how happy she is to be filming there again.
Lyle recently appeared in season two of Karen Pirie, and viewers are eagerly awaiting news about a potential third season of the hit detective show.
Viewers in the UK and New Zealand can watch “The Ridge” starting Tuesday, October 21st. In the UK, it will be on BBC Scotland and available to stream on BBC iPlayer. In New Zealand, it will air on Sky Open and stream on Neon. It will also be shown on BBC Two in the UK beginning Thursday, October 23rd at 9pm.
