Saturday Could Be a Huge Day For MCU Fans

For Marvel fans, few events are as thrilling as major comic conventions. These events are often when Marvel Studios reveals big news or shares updates on upcoming projects, building excitement among fans. After skipping San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios is heading to New York Comic Con this weekend. Their panel on Saturday, featuring Marvel Television and Marvel Animation, promises updates on future projects, including appearances by special guests and a behind-the-scenes look, suggesting Sunday could be a fantastic day for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans.

Marvel is hosting a presentation at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 11th at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time to give fans a sneak peek at upcoming Disney+ shows. While details are limited, the hour-long event promises behind-the-scenes looks at highly anticipated projects from both Marvel Television and Marvel Animation. With many shows in development, this could be a major update on what’s coming next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe on television.

What Marvel Projects Could Fans Get Updates on At NYCC?

Fans are eagerly awaiting news on upcoming Marvel TV shows, and two projects are likely to have major updates soon. Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, is scheduled to be released in December, making New York Comic Con (NYCC) the perfect place to start promoting it. We saw a sneak peek in July, so attendees can probably expect a trailer, a new logo, or even a confirmed release date. Since Wonder Man is one of the closest releases about which we know the least, expect some exciting reveals!

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really hoping we get a sneak peek at season two of *Daredevil: Born Again* at NYCC! It’s set to come out in March, and Daredevil is so popular, it feels like a sure thing. Plus, I’ve heard they’re planning to start working on season three early next year, so maybe we’ll even get some casting news – that would be awesome and fit with what the event’s hinting at!

One of the more intriguing panels for me will definitely be anything related to the upcoming *Punisher* TV special. Expected in 2026, it’s still under wraps title-wise, and New York Comic Con feels like the perfect place for Marvel to finally reveal what they’re calling it – maybe even show us a logo! Considering filming wrapped in August, a first look isn’t out of the question either. I’m also hoping to hear more about *Vision Quest*, another 2026 series that’s currently a bit of a mystery. Paul Bettany has hinted it’ll explore “intergenerational trauma,” and we know James Spader is returning as Ultron, so I’m really curious to see if they announce any other cast members at the panel. Both of these projects are wildcards, but I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed for some exciting reveals.

Marvel Animation Could Have Some Big Surprises, Too

Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to beyond live-action movies and shows. In 2026, Marvel Animation plans to release new seasons of both *X-Men ’97* and *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man*. Given how popular *X-Men ’97* was, we might get a preview or even a release date announcement. The same is true for *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man*.

Fans are hoping Marvel Animation will announce a second season of *Marvel Zombies* on Saturday. Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum has mentioned they have plans for a follow-up season, but its development depends on how many people watched the first season and subscribed to Disney+. It’s possible Marvel now has enough data to decide, and an announcement could be coming soon.
