Wendy Osefo Weighed in on Karen Huger’s Jail Time Before Own Arrest

Before she was arrested, Dr. Wendy Osefo publicly supported her Real Housewives costar, Karen Huger, during Huger’s legal issues.

The *Real Housewives of Potomac* star had suggested she’d be willing to welcome a former cast member back to the show, now that she’s been released from prison after serving six months for a drunk driving conviction.

Wendy told *Deadline* that she hasn’t spoken to the person since they were released. In an interview published on October 8th – the day before she and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested and charged with fraud – she added that everyone deserves a chance to share their own experiences. She believes it’s important for people to tell their stories themselves, rather than having others do it for them.

On October 9th, a Maryland grand jury charged Wendy and Eddie Osefo with multiple fraud-related crimes. Wendy faces seven felony counts, while Eddie faces nine. Both were also indicted on eight misdemeanor conspiracy charges and one count of lying to a police officer, according to court documents obtained by TopMob News.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, two people were arrested after they reportedly lied about a burglary and theft at their home that happened two days earlier.

Before her own arrest, Dr. Wendy Osefo expressed support for her costar Karen Huger.

Potomac Housewife Gizelle Bryant recently suggested she’d be willing to welcome Karen back to the show after Karen completed a six-month prison sentence in September for driving under the influence.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports that a couple was arrested for allegedly filing a false report about a burglary and theft that supposedly happened at their home in April 2024.

On October 10th, the sheriff’s office reported that Wendy and Eddie returned home from vacation to find their house had been burglarized. They told authorities that thieves had stolen around 80 items, including jewelry, designer goods, clothes, and shoes, with a total estimated value of over $200,000.

The police investigation revealed that the owners themselves had returned over $20,000 worth of the allegedly stolen items to the stores where they originally bought them. Additionally, investigators discovered photos of a homeowner wearing jewelry that had been reported stolen during a burglary.

After Wendy and Eddie were indicted, warrants were issued for their arrest and a search of their home. They were taken into custody and charged, but were released after posting $50,000 bail each. Court records indicate they are scheduled to return to court in November.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always saddened to hear about home invasions. Recently, Wendy and Eddie shared with authorities that they came home from vacation to a shocking discovery: their house had been broken into and a significant amount of their belongings were gone. They told the sheriff’s office that around 80 items were taken – everything from jewelry and designer clothes to shoes and other luxury goods – with a total estimated value of over $200,000. It’s a truly devastating experience, and a reminder to review your own home security measures.

Okay, so the police investigation revealed something *amazing* – and a little weird. Apparently, over $20,000 worth of the stuff initially reported stolen had actually been *returned* to the stores by the owners themselves! Can you believe it? But that’s not even the best part! They found pictures of one of the homeowners *wearing* jewelry that had been reported stolen *after* the break-in! I mean, seriously? It’s like something out of a movie, and I’m glued to every detail!

After Wendy and Eddie were indicted, authorities issued arrest warrants for them and a search warrant for their home. They were taken into custody and charged, but were released after each posting a $50,000 bond. Court records indicate they are scheduled to return to court in November. They haven’t yet spoken publicly about their arrests.
