Though very different – *Solo Leveling* follows a hunter becoming incredibly powerful, while *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End* centers on an immortal elf exploring humanity – the two anime series are surprisingly teaming up! An official crossover is happening, bringing Jinwoo Sung and Frieren together in an unexpected way, and it’s coming sooner than fans realize.
Although an official anime collaboration isn’t planned, the worlds of *Solo Leveling* and *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End* will be uniting in the mobile game, *Solo Leveling: Arise*. Players will be able to recruit characters like Frieren, Fern, and Sterk to fight alongside Jinwoo’s team. The event kicks off in the game on October 23th, and Netmarble has already released artwork and a trailer showcasing this exciting team-up. For fans eager for more from both series, this crossover is a great way to enjoy both universes together.
Solo Frieren
The futures of these two anime series are currently heading in different directions. A second season of *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End* is confirmed to premiere on January 16th of next year. As for *Solo Leveling*, a third season hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s very likely that A-1 Productions will continue Jinwoo’s story. The original *Solo Leveling* story continued after the Jeju Island battle, and a sequel, *Solo Leveling: Ragnarok*, explores the world through the eyes of Jinwoo’s son.
Anime crossovers are becoming increasingly popular on mobile games, with titles like *The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross* bringing together characters from different series. We’ve already seen collaborations between *The Seven Deadly Sins* and franchises like *Overlord, Attack on Titan, The Rising of The Shield Hero, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation*, and *Solo Leveling*. Games like *Jump Force* and *Jump Super Stars* have also featured massive crossovers, uniting iconic series like *Dragon Ball* and *One Piece*. However, because neither Jinwoo (from *Solo Leveling*) nor Frieren are published in *Weekly Shonen Jump*, it’s unlikely they’ll appear in future crossover games, though anything is possible in the world of anime.
