Besides the big releases announced earlier this month, fans are constantly finding new surprises. Recently, Netflix added three horror films from Shudder without any prior announcement, and they’re definitely worth watching – one is considered one of the best horror movies of the last two decades.

With a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, *Host* is a fresh addition to Netflix, arriving on September 9th. This film stands out for its clever use of screen technology, built around a surprisingly effective and simple idea: a Zoom séance that takes a terrifying turn. With a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Deadstream is quickly becoming a modern classic and rightfully earning its praise.

Joe Begos’s 2022 film, *Christmas Bloody Christmas*, is the newest addition, and it’s a wild ride! The story centers around a malfunctioning robotic Santa who starts terrorizing a small town. It’s packed with over-the-top violence and, while not as chaotic as *Violent Night*, it’s a fun and festive horror film that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
