Among the highly anticipated film projects, none are larger than the quartet of movies dedicated to The Beatles. Fans worldwide eagerly await the depiction of their idols on the silver screen.
In simpler terms, it means that fans can feel confident that the scripts for these films will accurately reflect real life, as Ringo Starr himself has provided input to director Sam Mendes about details specific to his movie. Mendes is responsible for directing all four movies, each one focusing on a different Beatle member.
These upcoming movies, penned by Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne, promise to delve into various aspects of each Beatles member’s private lives, focusing particularly on the relationship between Ringo Starr and his first wife, Maureen Starkey Tigrett.

Regarding that relationship, Starr stated that he requested specific parts of the narrative be altered to more accurately portray actual events.
Starr informed The New York Times that the individual was an excellent writer with a strong reputation, who penned superbly, but what they wrote had no connection to Maureen or me.
“That’s not how we were. I’d say, ‘We would never do that.'”
Following some adjustments, Starr confesses that he’s content with the screenplay now, featuring Irish actor Barry Keoghan depicting the Liverpudlian character.
Instead of debating that minor actors might fit the roles, especially those connected to Liverpool, Starr has been collaborating intimately with Keoghan to enhance his portrayal of the drummer in the production.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Keoghan shared: “The other day, I visited Ringo’s home. It wasn’t a casual encounter; I actually went up to his residence, and he graciously allowed me entry.
I visited his home where he showed off his drum-playing skills. He invited me to join in, though I was there neither as a drummer nor playing for Ringo.
“It was sort of just one of those moments where you’re just in awe and you’re just frozen.”
In this portrayal, Paul Mescal takes on the role of Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson assumes the part of John Lennon, and Joseph Quinn steps into the shoes of George Harrison.
Mendes has confirmed that the four separate biopics will all be released in April 2028.
