A recently released medieval game has become one of the most popular titles on Xbox Game Pass, and it was available to play for subscribers right from day one. Considering it launched on September 23rd, its continued success is notable. While being included with the Game Pass subscription certainly helped, other games released the same way haven’t seen this level of popularity, suggesting there’s more to its success than just that.
The game *Sworn* is now fully available on Xbox Game Pass Premium and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for both PC and Xbox Series X players. Developed by Windwalk Games and published by Team17, it launched on September 23rd, but was available in early access starting in February.
About the Game
Sworn is a cooperative action game for one to four players where you team up to take back Camelot from a twisted Arthur and his Knights. It’s a roguelike, meaning levels are randomly generated and you’ll face new challenges each time you play. Players are comparing it to popular games like Hades, Diablo, and Children of Morta, with many describing it as a ‘co-op version of Hades.’ If you enjoy those titles, Sworn might be exactly what you’re looking for.
Currently, Sworn is very well-received on Steam, with 85% of users giving it a thumbs up. It has a similar rating of 4 out of 5 stars on the Microsoft Store. Since there isn’t a Metacritic score available, these user reviews are the best way to get an idea of how people are liking the game.
One user wrote, “I’m really liking this so far! I love this type of game, and this one was a no-brainer to try. If you enjoyed *Hades* and are looking for something similar, you should definitely check it out.”
We don’t know how long *Sworn* will be available on Xbox Game Pass. While it’s on the service, Game Pass subscribers can get 20% off the $30 co-op game.
After downloading, Xbox Game Pass members can expect to spend around 20 to 25 hours completing the game, including optional side quests. While it’s possible to finish the main story in under 10 hours, most players will likely take more time to explore everything.
If you’re not excited about the newest game on Xbox Game Pass, don’t worry – more are on the way! Plus, a recently added game already provides hundreds of hours of gameplay.
