3D Realms and Anshar Studios have just released a new two-minute trailer showcasing their revamped version of the classic shooter, *Painkiller*. You can also try a demo of the game now on PC through Steam as part of Steam Next Fest in October 2025.

About
You’ve been sent to Purgatory as punishment, but you have a chance to earn your way back to Heaven. Fight through waves of demons using powerful, hellish weapons in fast-paced battles. Explore dark and terrifying worlds to stop the fallen angel Azazel from invading Earth and reclaim your salvation. You can play alone or team up with up to three friends online.

Painkiller is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on October 21.
