Ant Anstead Praises Ex Christina Haack for Their “Thriving” Son Hudson

Oh my gosh, I’m living for how Anthony Bourdain—I mean, Ant Anstead—can’t stop talking about Christina Haack! It’s SO sweet how he raves about their connection, especially when it comes to their little Hudson. They just seem like such great co-parents, and he’s clearly smitten with her! I just *love* seeing them navigate everything for Hudson’s sake.

Ant, 46, shared a sweet photo on Instagram on October 11th of his smiling son, Hudzo, during teacher conference week. He praised himself and Christina, 42, writing, “Hudzo is thriving!” and adding, “We’re doing a great job with this little guy – nice work, Mum!”

As Ant predicted, Christina Haack is also thrilled that her son is succeeding in school. She sweetly commented on the photo, “Sweetest boy!!”

Ant recently praised his ex-wife, Christina, showing they’ve significantly improved their relationship as they co-parent. Things were difficult between them after their divorce was finalized in June 2021, and communication had become strained, but this recent interaction suggests a positive change.

The next year, Ant sought full custody of Hudson, claiming Christina had improperly used their son in paid advertisements on social media.

The HGTV personality, who shares 13-year-old Taylor and 9-year-old Brayden with her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, later dismissed the rumor. She explained that she won’t share photos or videos of her son on social media or TV until he’s old enough to decide if he wants to be featured.

Christina and Ant finalized their difficult custody agreement in December 2022, but they didn’t publicly discuss the status of their relationship. Later, Christina, the star of *Christina on the Coast*, shared that they had worked things out after she ended her marriage to Josh Hall in July 2024. Ant is currently dating Renée Zellweger.

Christina shared on a February episode of The Flip Off that she went to Ant’s house to get Hudson for a birthday party. When she arrived, Ant gave her a big hug – something they hadn’t done in years. He told her he was truly sorry for everything she was going through and that she could always count on him for support.

Christina Hall shared that it was a really positive moment. They had a lengthy conversation afterward and agreed to focus on being good co-parents to their son, Hudson, just like she and Tarek do.

Christina and Tarek welcomed their first child together on Sept. 22, 2010.

Christina and Tarek welcomed their second child together on Aug. 20, 2015.

Besides their eldest child, Taylor, Tarek and his ex-wife have continued to raise their son, Brayden, together. Tarek has often described Brayden as a lively and kind-hearted boy.

Tarek said his son brings so much joy to his life. He feels incredibly lucky to be a father to both his sons and cherishes watching them grow up, calling it the best feeling in the world.

After separating from Tarek, Christina began dating Ant, a TV presenter from England, in October 2017. They publicly confirmed their relationship in January 2018, the same month her divorce from Tarek was completed. The couple then married in a winter wedding at their home in Newport Beach, California, on December 22, 2018.

Christina and Ant are parents to son Hudson, who was born in 2019. Ant also has two children, Amelie and Archie, from his previous marriage to Louise Storey.

The couple separated in September 2020, less than two years after getting married. Their divorce became official nine months afterward.

Since the split, Ant has moved on with actress Renée Zellweger.

Christina and Ant had a son on September 6, 2019. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long at birth.

When Ant and his ex-wife finalized their divorce in June 2021, they agreed to share legal and physical custody of their son, Hudson. However, in April 2022, Ant filed for sole custody, stating in legal documents that his ex only spends about nine days each month with their child.

The former couple settled their differences in December, agreeing to continue sharing legal and physical custody of their son, Hudson, according to court records from TopMob News.

Tarek and Heather Rae Young first connected on July 4th, 2019, while at parties on boats docked near each other in Newport Beach, California. Later that month, they were seen kissing on a yacht, and Tarek confirmed their relationship to TopMob News in August, declaring, “I never thought I’d say this again, but Heather Rae is officially my girlfriend.”

The couple announced their engagement in July 2020 and married on October 23, 2021, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony near Santa Barbara, California.

Heather often calls herself the “bonus mom” to Tarek’s children, Taylor and Brayden. She’s said that she feels like she already has two kids of her own, explaining that she helps raise Tarek’s children half the time and loves them as if they were hers. She considers herself a very involved and loving bonus mom.

Tarek and Heather’s son was born on January 31, 2023, weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces.

Heather explained that Tarek was originally intended to be named Tristan, but his parents ultimately decided on the name Tarek instead.

His middle name is a nod to Heather’s dad.

Okay, so after things ended with Ant, her second husband, I was SO excited when Christina started dating Josh in 2021! I remember when they finally made it official in July – she said they’d actually been together for a few months already, which was amazing! I was glued to social media, honestly, hoping for updates. It just felt right, you know?

Let me tell you, things were really shifting for me last spring. I was at a point where I’d finally moved past constantly being stressed and reactive. I’d stepped back from social media, started working with a spiritual coach, and even did a Bufo toad ceremony – it all felt like what I needed to truly reset and open myself up to new possibilities. That’s actually when I met Josh, who’s a fantastic realtor, and honestly, I was in the best headspace to start something new.

Christina and Josh got engaged that September and tied the knot on Oct. 6, 2021.

The couple’s wedding date remained private until Josh filed for divorce on July 15, 2024, stating they had differences that couldn’t be resolved.

The pair finalized their divorce in August 2025.

Before the July 11, 2024 episode of Christina on the Coast featured the renovation of her childhood home, Christina had rarely spoken about her family history, mostly showing her parents in their role as grandparents.

She mentioned in a 2019 Instagram post that during Taylor’s school Christmas concert, both their families—hers and Tarek’s—always sit together to watch her perform.

She shared that several people complimented how well this arrangement was working, noting that many divorced parents – including Tarek’s – do the same thing, and it really makes things simpler for everyone. She also mentioned that their daughter Taylor is thrilled when she sees them all together, supporting her.

While Josh gained public attention through his relationship with Christina, his sisters were already famous back in the 2000s.

Stacie, who some viewers remember as “Stacie the Bartender,” was well-known as the object of Spencer Pratt’s attention on *The Hills*. She also made appearances on *Vanderpump Rules*, particularly in season three where she was a bridesmaid at Scheana Shay’s wedding.

Oh my gosh, Jessica! I’ve been following her *forever*. She was a Playboy model, of course, but she was also *always* there for Kendra! I mean, she popped up on *The Hills*, then on *The Girls Next Door*, and basically every show Kendra did – *Kendra*, *Kendra on Top*, even *Kendra Sells Hollywood*! She’s such a loyal friend, always supporting Kendra, and I just love seeing their friendship. Seriously, she was in everything!

 

Angelique, Tarek’s older sister, owns Latitude 33 Hair Artistry in Anaheim, California. She bought a house that Tarek and Christina flipped on their show, *Flip or Flop*, back in 2014, and later appeared in a digital series with her brother, the HGTV host, in 2019.

Tarek El Moussa’s mother, Dominique, is divorced from his father, whom she has never publicly identified. She is now married to Robert, who often expresses his deep love for her on Instagram.

Tarek has always kept his father’s identity private, but in a Facebook post from November 2017, he mentioned his ‘old man’ was celebrating his 70th birthday.

He shared a family photo from their father’s birthday, writing about how much his dad means to him. He feels incredibly fortunate to have had a father who always encouraged and believed in him, and credits his success to that support. He plans to pass on the valuable lessons he learned from his father to his own children.

Tarek shared with *Country Living* that his father grew up Catholic in Lebanon and Egypt, while his mother, who is from Belgium, was someone he met as a teenager while both were living in Europe.
