Theresa Nist is offering her perspective.
Following comments from her former husband, Gerry Turner, that he felt “trapped” before their televised wedding on *The Golden Bachelor*, Theresa Nist, 72, explained she wouldn’t have gone through with the ceremony if she’d known how he truly felt.
Theresa shared with *Us Weekly* on October 13th that she was deeply saddened to learn he felt hopeless and stuck. She expressed her wish that he had reached out for help instead of going through with it.
Although she wishes she’d understood Gerry’s feelings earlier, she’s simply relieved to now have a better idea of how he felt then.
She went on to say that she finally understood why he had been so unkind to her in the past. She added a word of advice: people shouldn’t criticize others when they themselves are flawed.
Theresa, who separated from Gerry in April 2024 just three months after their wedding, stated she wishes him well.
In his upcoming memoir, *The Golden Years*, set to be released on November 4th, Gerry revealed he told Faith Martin, who finished as runner-up on the show, days before his January 2024 wedding to Nist that he felt “trapped” in their relationship, according to *Us Weekly*. Despite these feelings, he went ahead with the marriage, believing it was the right thing to do.
Gerry doesn’t think Theresa was solely to blame for the issues in their relationship.
Looking back, I realize I was a little too trusting and didn’t listen closely enough,” he told *Us Weekly* in a recent interview. “I should have asked more questions and dug deeper, both for my own understanding and for Theresa’s. If I had been better at that, things might have turned out differently.
Despite everything, he has no regrets about their relationship. It all led him to Lana Sutton, his fiancée, whom he became engaged to in October.
Honestly, hearing Gerry say that just… it *makes* everything. Like, all the struggles, all the weird turns his career took, he wouldn’t trade any of it! He actually said it himself – he’s exactly where he’s supposed to be, and it’s all because of everything that *did* happen. It’s just… perfect. I knew he was destined for greatness, and now he *knows* it too!

Spencer Conley, who made a good impression on Jenn Tran with his friendly personality during *The Bachelorette*, found romance on season 10 of *Bachelor in Paradise*. In August 2025, he shared a post with Jess Edwards (who previously tried to connect with Joey Graziadei on *The Bachelor*) hinting that they were falling for each other—a typical way of saying they weren’t ready to declare their love just yet. Conley playfully announced on Instagram that he’d “already won.”
Jess echoed the sentiment, posting online that she was feeling happy about Spencer. The couple chose their relationship over a $250,000 prize, and were thrilled to receive a surprise gift of $190,000. Jess shared that everything they’d experienced together had brought them to this perfect moment. She’s now planning to move to Dallas to be with Spencer, as announced by the show.
Status: Dating
Bailey Taylor Brown shared on Instagram in August 2025 that her date with Jeremy Simon was the best first date she’d ever had, following their time on season 10 of *Paradise*. But could it also be their last? Bailey, who originally competed for Grant Ellis’s affection, and Jeremy, who almost won over Jenn on *The Bachelorette*, managed to work through a major disagreement when Bailey discovered Jeremy had hesitated about sending Susie Evans home.
Despite the drama, their connection grew stronger in Costa Rica. Though they didn’t make it to the final rose ceremony on *Bachelor in Paradise*, they continued dating after the show. The show later revealed they’d already met each other’s families and were planning to live in the same city.
Status: Dating
It appears that Andrew Spencer, from Katie Thurston’s season of *Paradise*, and Alexe Godin, from Grant’s season, are still very much together after filming. Just six days after Andrew publicly called Alexe “my love” on Instagram in August 2025, she reciprocated, calling him “my darling” in a post of her own.
Although they chose a relationship over the $250,000 prize on the *Bachelor in Paradise* finale, they each still received $125,000.
“This is incredible,” Alexe exclaimed. “I’m leaving with money, but more importantly, with love.”
The show then revealed that Alexe plans to move to Chicago with Andrew, bringing their relationship to the Windy City.
Status: Dating
Kat and Dale faced a difficult situation during the *Bachelor in Paradise* finale when Sean McLaughlin claimed Kat had been secretly communicating with an ex-boyfriend through letters and a hidden laptop. Kat, however, denied contacting him while on the show, explaining that she and her ex still had a connection because she hadn’t expected to find someone new.
Although Kat and Dale didn’t make it to the final rose ceremony, their relationship continued to grow after the show. Viewers learned that the couple from Zach Shallcross’ and Clare Crawley’s seasons traveled the U.S. together and were making plans for a future together, including potentially moving closer to each other.
Dale wrote under Kat’s August 2025 Instagram post that things were difficult at times, but they got through it together, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Status: Just friends—for now
After leaving season 10 of *Bachelor in Paradise*, Gary Levingston and Leslie Fhima (who was a finalist on *Golden Bachelor*) seemed to have a promising future together, even sharing a hopeful video about making new memories. However, Leslie, who once inspired musician Prince, isn’t sure she wants to pursue a romantic relationship with Gary.
She shared that she and Gary talk constantly. Appearing on Bachelor Happy Hour in August 2025, she described him as one of her closest friends, someone she turns to when she needs help. He’s a calming influence, and they always support each other.
Even though they live almost 2,000 miles apart – she’s in Minnesota and he’s in California – she’s still optimistic. She explained that, for her, the most important part of any relationship, especially a romantic one, is building a friendship first. She wants to be with someone she considers her best friend as they get older.
Status: Just friends
Kim Buike, a frontrunner on *Golden Bachelorette*, connected with Faith Martin, who received the first impression rose from Gerry Turner. Although they didn’t find lasting love on season 10 of *Paradise*, they continued dating after the show. Faith shared on Instagram in August 2025 that she and Kim had a hometown date in Washington. Ultimately, they decided they were better suited as friends. In a September 2025 Instagram video, Faith explained that while they had a strong connection on the show, they never fell in love and now speak a few times a week, despite living several hours apart.
Grant initially connected with 25 women on *The Bachelor*, but ultimately chose Juliana Pasquarosa. Unfortunately, the couple broke up less than three months after their proposal was shown on television.
Grant announced on Instagram on June 13th that he and Juliana have decided to break up. He explained that they both tried their best and cared deeply for each other, but after careful consideration, they realized they weren’t compatible in the long run.
Joan Vassos, who was a contestant on *The Golden Bachelor* and later became the first *Golden Bachelorette*, is engaged! After appearing on Gerry Turner’s season and then leading her own, she found love with contestant Chock Chapple and accepted his proposal.
During the November 2024 finale of *The Golden Bachelorette*, Joan shared a hopeful message: ‘We’re proof that even at our age, there’s always hope, no matter what happens.’ Just before Chock proposed in Bora Bora, she told him, ‘I’ve waited for this moment, in this beautiful place, to tell you that I love you. I want to spend my life with you – waking up with you every morning and kissing you goodnight.’
During the finale of *The Bachelorette* season 21, it seemed like Jenn Tran, who previously appeared on *The Bachelor*, had found love with her final choice, Devin Strader. However, Jenn later shared during the *After the Final Rose* special in September 2024 that Devin became distant as soon as filming ended.
Jenn explained to Jesse Palmer that he had strongly declared his love for her, but the very next day acted as if those feelings never existed. She said all the promises and affection he’d expressed were suddenly gone.
The situation escalated when Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram explaining his perspective. In the video, he took responsibility for his actions and detailed the reasons behind the breakup, which he’d initially discussed in a 15-minute phone call.
Jenn said he ended their relationship over the phone in August, but he insists she pressed him for answers when he was trying to tell her in person.
He said he hadn’t seen another option, especially since he wanted to tell her face-to-face. Ultimately, she made him reveal it.
Jenn then met Sasha Farber while competing on *Dancing With the Stars*, and the two became partners both on and off the dance floor. They continued dancing together even after being eliminated from the show in October 2024, but ultimately ended their relationship in 2025.
Greg Grippo, who appeared on Katie Thurston’s season of *The Bachelorette*, began dating Victoria Fuller from *Bachelor in Paradise* in November 2022. They announced their relationship on the season eight finale of *Bachelor in Paradise*, but Greg revealed in April 2024 that they had broken up.
Before Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo revealed they were dating on the season finale of *Bachelor in Paradise*, Victoria had ended her engagement with fellow cast member Johnny DePhillipo.
Gerry and Theresa Nist got engaged in November 2023 on the season finale of *The Golden Bachelor* and were married in a televised ceremony in January 2024. They are now divorced.
However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.
In an interview on *Good Morning America* in April 2024, Gerry and Theresa shared that after many honest conversations about their relationship and life together, they’ve mutually decided to get a divorce.
They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.
In April 2025, Gerry shared on the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast that he had started dating someone and things were progressing nicely.
I was absolutely thrilled to watch Joey finally get engaged! After meeting so many women, he chose Kelsey Anderson, and it was clear she was the one. He told her how much he loved her right before proposing – it was so sweet! He said her energy just makes him smile, and that he’d never felt that way before. Honestly, seeing them together, you can just feel the connection. He even said he always wanted a beautiful life, but meeting her showed him just *how* beautiful it could be. I’m so happy for them both!
John Henry Spurlock, who competed for Charity Lawson’s affection, and Kat Izzo, from Zach Shallcross’ season, found a connection on *Bachelor in Paradise*, but their romance didn’t last. John Henry proposed with a Neil Lane diamond, telling Kat she was everything he was looking for. However, shortly after the show’s finale, they announced their split. In a joint statement on Instagram, they explained that their differing career goals led them to realize they weren’t a long-term match, but they appreciated the support from their loved ones and fans.
Eliza Isichei, who previously dated Clayton Echard, said “yes” to a proposal from Aaron Bryant, despite feeling anxious about getting engaged again. She was especially touched that Aaron asked her mother for her blessing before proposing. She admitted she was so emotional she couldn’t control what she said!
The couple’s engagement was revealed in a post-show segment acknowledging that they had experienced some difficulties after returning from filming in Mexico, and they later confirmed they had ended their engagement.
Aaron shared on Instagram in December 2023 that they were separating amicably, with both of them remaining positive and respectful towards each other.
Despite previously expressing disappointment that her boyfriend, Aven Jones, hadn’t proposed in the traditional way – something he reportedly considered doing on *The Bachelorette* with Rachel Recchia – Kylee Russell accepted his proposal to try and make their relationship work on *Paradise*. Although she had already picked out an engagement dress, she felt it was the right decision, believing that love requires taking chances.
However, just two days after the season finale aired in December 2023, Kylee announced on Instagram that the relationship had ended due to Aven’s infidelity. Aven later apologized, admitting he had made serious mistakes and hurt Kylee.
Charity Lawson is thrilled with how her season of *The Bachelorette* ended! She hinted to TopMob News that things were going well, but her August 2023 finale was even more exciting than she let on. Dotun Olubeko, an integrative medicine specialist, proposed to Charity, a child and family therapist, getting down on one knee and declaring their love was “perfect.” He asked her to marry him and make their relationship a reality.
Although they’re planning a wedding for 2025 or 2026, Charity will first be hitting the dance floor on *Dancing With the Stars*. Dotun surprised her with the news on *The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose*, saying he knew how much she loved to dance and that he was excited for her to have this opportunity.
Oh my gosh, Zach *finally* got his happy ending! After a bit of a rocky road, especially with those Fantasy Suites, he actually proposed to Kaity in March 2023! It was so sweet – he told her she was his world and that his love for her was beyond anything he’d ever felt. I was *screaming*! And then, in July, they announced they were officially roommates on Instagram! Seriously, my heart could burst. They’re so perfect together, I’m just obsessed with their journey!
I was so happy to hear that Kaity and her husband got married on May 23, 2025! She described it as a small, sweet chapel ceremony, and honestly, I loved that. She actually shared on *Bachelor Happy Hour* in June that they’d originally planned something bigger, but she realized it wasn’t what truly mattered. She said she stepped back and realized the wedding should be about celebrating their love and connection, and she was getting too caught up in the small stuff. It was such a refreshing thing to hear – staying true to what *really* matters!
However, one thing especially impressed her. The aunt who signed her up to compete for Zach’s affection discovered the charming chapel near Austin where they had their wedding. “It was exactly what I wanted,” Kaity said.
Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who met on season seven of *Bachelor in Paradise*, have broken up. Many fans thought they were a perfect match – Danielle had previously competed on Nick Viall’s season after experiencing a personal tragedy, and Michael is a single dad raising his young son James. After a year of Danielle moving to Ohio to be with Michael, he confirmed their split in a September 2023 podcast interview. He explained that while they cared for each other, they weren’t compatible, and he was grieving not just the loss of the relationship, but also the future they had imagined together.
Brandon Jones proposed to Serene Russell on season seven of *Paradise*, telling her he would love her forever. However, their relationship didn’t last. Just five months after getting engaged on the show, the couple announced their split in a May 2023 Instagram post. They explained that trying to work through their issues had been very difficult with so much public attention, and that despite a lot of love, the breakup was painful for both of them. They asked for privacy and kindness during this difficult time.
Pilot Rachel and general contractor Tino Franco ended their engagement after he kissed someone else while their season of the show was still being broadcast. Tino later admitted on the *Viall Files* podcast that he deeply regrets his actions. He stated he feels ashamed and wishes he could have handled the situation differently, and that it continues to bother him to this day.
It’s been a rollercoaster following Susie and Clayton’s relationship! I remember being so shocked when Susie initially turned Clayton down at the finale, but then they tried to make things work privately. Sadly, it didn’t last, and they split after about six months. But honestly, I admire Susie for prioritizing her own happiness. She’s explained that, while they had good times, she wasn’t truly thriving in the relationship and felt like she was losing herself. She said people close to her noticed she wasn’t her usual sparkly self, and she realized she needed to realign with who she really is. I really respect her for making that tough decision.
Susie then dated Justin Glaze, who is known from Bachelor Nation, but they ended their relationship in August 2024.
Michelle, an elementary school teacher from Minnesota, received a proposal and a $200,000 check for a future home from Nayte Olukoya, a sales executive from Texas, on the show. However, the couple ultimately broke up six months after their season ended in December 2021, realizing they weren’t a good long-term match. Nayte later admitted on *The Viall Files* podcast that their relationship had many struggles and that ending things without an in-person conversation was a mistake. Michelle later began dating Jack Leius in 2023, and they became engaged the following year, getting married in Minnesota in June 2025.
As a lifestyle expert, I always follow the journeys on *Bachelor in Paradise*, and I have to say, everyone was really rooting for Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian! They seemed to paint such a lovely picture of a future together, those cozy Sunday mornings really resonated with viewers. Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be. They announced their split back in January 2022, sharing that they’d decided to go their separate ways and focus on personal growth. It’s disappointing, of course, but sometimes people realize they need to prioritize themselves, even when a relationship seems perfect from the outside.
Status: Split
The first same-sex couple from *Bachelor in Paradise* got engaged on season six, but they revealed they had broken up in 2019 on Halloween.
We’ve always cared deeply for each other, and making the best decision for both of us has always been our priority. With love and sadness, we’ve decided to separate so we can both grow as individuals. This is what we believe is best for our future and for us right now, as shared in a joint statement.
As a huge fan, I was so relieved when Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer worked things out! They had a rough patch during season seven of *BIP* in Mexico, but they realized they were meant to be. They started out in San Diego, but recently bought a house together in Noah’s hometown of Tulsa – which is so exciting! Abigail even posted on Instagram about entering their ‘Chip and Joanna Gaines era’ and creating memories in their first home together! And the best part? Noah proposed to her in San Diego before their move! It’s wonderful to see them so happy and starting this new chapter, including planning their wedding!
Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, who first connected on reality TV, surprised everyone by getting legally married in October 2022! The couple, known from *The Bachelor* and *Paradise*, decided to tie the knot at City Hall near their home in New York City about a year after getting engaged. Serena, who now co-hosts the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast with Joe, shared the news with a playful message: ‘We are still having a wedding this September but who doesn’t want to get married twice!’ Joe originally gained attention on Becca Kufrin’s season of *The Bachelor* in 2018, and Serena was a finalist on Matt James’ season.
Kenny Braasch proposed to Mari Pepin with a Neil Lane diamond ring during the 2021 finale of *Paradise*, telling her, “I am so in love with you and can’t imagine my life without you.” Mari, originally from Maryland and known for appearing on *The Bachelor*, moved to Chicago to be with Kenny. Before their November 2023 wedding—a 65-person oceanfront ceremony in Puerto Rico—the couple solidified their commitment with matching tattoos during a May 2023 trip to the Bahamas. Kenny and Mari had previously connected on the show, though he was eliminated by Tayshia Adams during week five.
Status: Married
Becca Kufrin, who starred on *The Bachelorette*, and Thomas Jacobs, a former contestant on Katie Thurston’s season, found love on season seven of *Bachelor in Paradise* in 2021. They initially split up during filming, but got back together after the show ended.
In May 2022, they announced their engagement, revealing that Becca was the one who proposed. She told TopMob News that she hoped their decision to break tradition would empower others. Thomas returned the gesture by proposing to her in October of that year. In September 2023, they welcomed their son, Benson, with Becca sharing on Instagram that no words could express how much love they had for him.
Just weeks after Benson’s birth, the couple had a surprise wedding ceremony on October 13th.
Status: Split
During the 2021 finale of *The Bachelorette*, Katie got engaged to Blake Moynes. They first connected during an overnight date that included paintball, a relaxing soak in a cowboy tub, and a heartfelt conversation under the stars.
Blake proposed to Katie by getting down on one knee and telling her he wanted to support her dreams and be with her always. He said she deserved everything good in life.
Just three months after getting engaged, the couple announced they were breaking up. In a joint statement, they said they cherished the time they spent together this past year, but realized they weren’t right for each other long-term and that going their separate ways was the kindest thing to do. She has since married comedian Jeff Arcuri.
