And just like that… Sabrina Carpenter is pulling double duty on Saturday Night Live.
Sabrina Carpenter, the singer behind the hit song “Espresso,” will host and perform on the October 18th episode of *Saturday Night Live*. The show has now released a sneak peek of Sabrina’s debut hosting appearance.
Sabrina Carpenter paid tribute to Sarah Jessica Parker’s famous Carrie Bradshaw in a short video released on October 15th. In the video, she playfully says, “New York City is full of opportunity, and I’m ready to take mine at Saturday Night Live.”
The 26-year-old walked through the halls behind the scenes at 30 Rock, joking with some of the writers and cast from *Saturday Night Live* as she went.
After one of them asks what she’s up to, she responds, “In these heels? Probably, like, 5’4″.”
She later confused Marcello Hernandez – whom she playfully “arrested” at a concert last year and then reunited with during his sketch on the SNL 50th anniversary special – with Carrie Bradshaw’s husband, Mr. Big.
“Oh, thank God!” Sabrina says as she finishes off a cosmopolitan. “It’s Mr. Big!”
Marcello corrects her, but ultimately grabs the empty glass from her as she walks past him.
“It’s actually Marcello,” he responds, “but I’ll take it.”
The singer of “Please Please Please” walked down the hallway, signing a script for someone she thought was a fan. She then paused at a laptop and playfully imitated Carrie Bradshaw’s famous voiceover scenes.
Sabrina typed, thinking, ‘I really don’t know what I’ve done,’ she said. ‘Now that I’ve won everyone over, all that’s left is…’
A former Disney performer’s thoughts are cut off when a writer asks what she’s working on, and then Sarah Sherman delivers the punchline.

Now that Season 51 of *Saturday Night Live* is underway, here’s a look at when other popular shows are coming back this fall.
“No idea,” she exclaims. “The computer’s not even on!”
The short preview clip was released a few weeks after Sabrina announced she’d be hosting and performing on the show. She playfully warned on Instagram on September 18th that the show’s producers would soon regret their decision.
