Players of *Disney Dreamlight Valley* have a lot to be excited about! The upcoming *Wishblosoom Ranch* expansion will finally add rideable mounts to the game, and a new chapter is coming to Storybook Vale. Even if you haven’t purchased any of the game’s expansions, the next few months will bring some great updates. A recent preview has given us a look at what’s coming, and it looks very promising.
Gameloft recently revealed what’s coming next for *Disney Dreamlight Valley* with a big presentation. A major highlight was the *Wishblossom Ranch* DLC, the game’s third paid expansion, which will finally add features players have been asking for, like rideable mounts. The update also introduces Snow White as a new character. In addition to the paid content, a free update arriving in Winter 2025 will bring Cinderella to the game. While Snow White is part of the paid expansion, Cinderella will be available to all players as a free addition.
Cinderella Arrives in Disney Dreamlight Valley This December
The Fairy Godmother has been in *Disney Dreamlight Valley* since the game launched, and players have been eagerly awaiting Cinderella’s arrival. Now, Disney has announced that Cinderella will be joining the game with the free Winter Ball update on December 10th. This update follows the release of the paid *Wishblossom Ranch* DLC, which came out on November 19th.
It won’t be simple to unlock Cinderella in the game. Based on what’s been shown, you’ll need to complete a questline with the Fairy Godmother before you can even begin to bring her to the Valley. Knowing how *Disney Dreamlight Valley* usually works, this probably means finishing all of the Fairy Godmother’s current quests first. So, if you want to be ready for Cinderella’s arrival in December, it’s a good idea to jump back into the game and catch up now.
While Cinderella is a major addition in the upcoming Winter Ball update for *Disney Dreamlight Valley*, there’s even more on the way! The update will also introduce a new feature called Dream Team, letting you connect with up to seven friends. You can team up to share resources and photos, building your own in-game group. This is a great move towards adding more multiplayer fun to the game.
That completes the plan for free updates in 2025, and Gameloft has already given us a sneak peek at what’s coming in 2026! The first preview suggests we’ll see characters from *The Lady and the Tramp* arrive in early 2026, followed by *Pocahontas* in the spring. After that, *Hercules* is expected to join the Valley. Let’s hope he doesn’t wander into Storybook Vale and encounter his old rival, Hades!
It looks like *Disney Dreamlight Valley* is getting some great new content, both as free updates to the main game and through paid downloadable content. Unfortunately, there’s still no news about when the game will be upgraded for the Switch 2, even though an upgrade was announced earlier this year. Right now, you can play the base game and its expansions on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, the original Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
