It’s over for Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Tommy Feight.
According to TMZ, the star of Shahs of Sunset has filed for divorce from her husband after seven years together, stating they have irreconcilable differences.
Mercedes stated that she and Tommy separated on October 17th and is asking the court to prevent either of them from receiving alimony. She’s also requesting full custody of their 6-year-old son, Shams. A court date to discuss the divorce has been scheduled for December 18th.
TopMob News has reached out to reps but have not heard back.
The Bravo star hasn’t commented on the divorce news, but it follows a post she made about change last month. On September 30th, she shared a video on Instagram showing her home, with a caption saying, “Focus on what you want, work towards your goals, and remember that change and growth are good things.”
The last time Tommy appeared on MJ’s social media was in August, when she shared about a new episode of their podcast, Till The Dirt.
Viewers followed MJ and Tommy’s love story and 2018 wedding on both social media and the show Shahs of Sunset. A significant part of the series also focused on Tommy’s complicated relationship with MJ’s close friend Reza Farahan, including the fallout from the restraining order Reza obtained against him in 2019.
Despite their past issues, it looked like the three of them reconciled in 2022 when MJ revealed that Reza finally got to meet their son.
During BravoCon on October 15th, MJ shared that Tommy introduced Shams to Reza. She finds their connection heartwarming, especially because Reza always brings Shams treats like sweets and gummy bears, and believes their bond is incredibly strong.
She remembered that Reza and Tommy had shared a laugh the last time they were together. She felt it proved that laughter truly brings people closer, and she was thankful for that moment.
