ARC Raiders – The Right Tool Quest Guide

“The Right Tool” is a fairly simple quest in ARC Raiders, at least on paper.

This quest requires you to locate and eliminate three kinds of ARC enemies: Hornets, Turrets, and Fireballs. Just destroy one of each, and you’ll complete the quest! The challenge lies in finding them and taking them down.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to find and destroy all 3 of these ARCs.

Destroy a Hornet

Hornets are frequently encountered enemies in the game, appearing on all maps. These flying drones are equipped with a gun, as you can see in the example.

You can usually find them by looking for their searchlight. It shines blue if they haven’t detected any enemies, and red if they have. However, the light almost always reveals where they are.

These enemies don’t have much health, so they shouldn’t take many shots to defeat. A few bullets should do the trick!

Destroy a Turret

In the Dam Battlegrounds map, you’ll find turrets most often in the Control Tower and Research & Administration buildings. These look like surveillance cameras with guns attached and are usually located inside structures.

Like the Hornets, you can easily spot Turrets thanks to their very obvious searchlights.

When fighting them, use walls for protection and only shoot when you have a clear shot. Luckily, these Turrets don’t move, so if you’re careful and patient, you can destroy them.

Destroy a Fireball

Finally, there’s the Fireball! This ARC appears as a small ball with a ring around it. It rolls along the ground and is often found inside buildings. A good place to look for them is in the Control Tower and Research & Administration buildings within the Dam Battlegrounds map.

You can usually find them by listening for the sounds they make. They beep and whirr as they move, which helps you locate them even if they’re hard to see because they can easily blend into their surroundings.

When battling these enemies, always keep your weapon loaded and maintain a safe distance. They’ll try to get close enough to use a powerful flamethrower attack, which can cause significant damage, so avoid close combat.

Okay, so I just finished up “The Right Tool” quest in ARC Raiders! It was pretty simple, actually. All I had to do was take down at least one of each of the three different ARC enemy types, and that was it! Quest complete.
