Spider-Man Brand New Day Trailer Rumors Point To 2025 Release

Okay, so I’m hearing some exciting news about the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day! Even though the movie is still being filmed, Marvel and Sony are already starting to tease us, which is awesome. They surprised everyone by officially showing off Tom Holland’s incredible new suit and then shared a cool behind-the-scenes look at filming in Scotland with Tom and director Destin Daniel Cretton. We’ve seen a bunch of sneaky set photos since then – like Spider-Man chasing a tank, which was wild – but honestly, the actual story is still a secret. It’s getting me so hyped since the movie is coming out on July 31, 2026!

A rumor circulating on X (formerly Twitter) from TrailerTrack suggests the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day could be released in 2025, potentially shown before the premiere of Avatar: Fire & Ash on December 19th.

This initial glimpse resembles a trailer for the epic film The Odyssey, and was released around a year before Christopher Nolan’s highly awaited next movie, Oppenheimer, hits cinemas.

Compared to Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which released its trailer in February 2025, this could be a very early sneak peek. However, Sony Pictures, which is distributing and co-producing the film, might be eager to begin marketing it aggressively, as it’s their biggest movie since the 2021 hit Spider-Man: No Way Home.

It’s interesting to note that both The Odyssey and Spider-Man 4 are scheduled to come out very close together – July 17th and July 31st, respectively. Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, and Zendaya are all confirmed to be in both films, which are expected to be major box office successes.

There’s talk that Marvel Studios could be heavily involved in promoting Avatar 3 screenings. According to insider Daniel Richtman, the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday might be shown before Avatar 3 hits theaters – a full year before the movie is officially released on December 18, 2026.

TrailerTrack has responded to the rumor, stating that while they can’t confirm it, there’s still a chance both of Marvel’s 2026 films could have trailers shown before the movie Avatar: Fire & Ash.

Why Avatar 3 Could Boost the MCU’s 2026 Box Office

Following the massive success of Avatar: The Way of Water—which earned $2.34 billion in 2022, more than ten years after the first Avatar nearly reached $3 billion—Disney is likely hoping that Fire & Ash will be just as popular and draw viewers back to the cinema.

Following the release of Avatar 3, Disney and other big film studios will probably use the moment to start advertising their movies planned for 2026. Although December 2025 might seem too soon to release trailers for Avengers: Doomsday and, to a lesser degree, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the potential benefits could be worth the risk.

Don’t expect to see either of these movies very soon. Both films still have a lot of editing and potential re-filming left to do.

The next Spider-Man movie might show glimpses of scenes already photographed, like the exciting tank chase. But bigger story reveals will likely be held for the official trailer, which could premiere during the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026.
