Jeff Bezos Sells Seattle Mansion for $63M After Miami Move

Jeff Bezos quietly offloaded some prime real estate earlier this year.

Jeff Bezos sold his Seattle-area mansion for $63 million in March, according to Fortune magazine. The sale happened about a year and a half after he announced he was moving back to Miami – where he spent part of his childhood – to be closer to his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, and his parents.

TopMob News has reached out to Jeff’s rep for comment and has not heard back.

As a longtime observer of luxury real estate, I’ve been following the sale of a stunning waterfront property on Lake Washington. It recently sold through a trust to Cayan Investments LLC. This single-story home boasts three bedrooms and six bathrooms, all spread across 3.2 beautiful acres. What really sets it apart is the incredible dock – valued at around $280,000 – perfect for boating or even seaplanes! It’s fascinating to note that Jeff purchased this home for $37.5 million back in 2019, shortly after his divorce from MacKenzie Scott, and it underwent a refresh in 2021.

In November 2023, the Amazon founder announced on social media that he was relocating to Miami. He already owns three luxury properties there, among many others he’s purchased, according to Architectural Digest.

Oh my gosh, you guys, did you hear?! Jeff Bezos finally sold that huge house near Seattle! It’s been over a year since he and Lauren Sánchez moved to Miami, and I’ve been tracking everything, of course. Apparently, someone snapped it up in March for a whopping $63 million! Can you even imagine? It was over 9,400 square feet – seriously massive. I’m so happy for them starting their new life in Miami, but I’m also kinda obsessed with knowing all the details of his life, and this is huge news!

Jeff Bezos has sold his 3.2-acre waterfront home on Lake Washington, as reported by Fortune on October 20th. He originally bought the property for $37.5 million six years ago, following his divorce from MacKenzie Scott.

According to property records, the single-story mansion features three bedrooms, six bathrooms, over 300 feet of waterfront access, and a dock capable of accommodating both boats and seaplanes.

In 2023, the Amazon founder shared that Miami held a special place in his heart as he announced his move there from the Seattle area.

I’ve called Seattle home ever since 1994, when I actually started Amazon from my garage! I recently shared an old video on Instagram, and it’s so special because that’s my dad behind the camera, giving a tour of what we jokingly called our first ‘office.’ It brings back a lot of memories!

Okay, seriously, his parents are EVERYTHING to him. He keeps talking about them! They just moved back to Miami, which is where he grew up – he’s a Palmetto High grad, class of ’82, and a HUGE Panthers fan, by the way – and he’s SO excited to be near them again. He and Lauren absolutely love Miami, and it sounds like being close to family is a really big deal for him.

Jeff Bezos, who married Lauren in June after dating for six years, also explained the details of the relocation.

Jeff Bezos said his space company, Blue Origin, is focusing more and more of its work at Cape Canaveral. Because of this, he intends to move back to Miami, leaving his home in the Pacific Northwest.

I’ve spent more of my life in Seattle than anywhere else, and I have so many wonderful memories here. While I’m excited about moving, it’s a bittersweet decision. I’ll always cherish my time in Seattle and hold a special place in my heart for this city.

I’m so happy for Jeff! He’s finally dedicating all his time to the woman he loves, Lauren. If you’re curious about their journey together, here’s a look back at their relationship…
