Is Ninja Gaiden 4 on Xbox Game Pass?
Ninja Gaiden 4 is included with Xbox Game Pass, meaning you can play it on both Xbox consoles and PCs right away. If you have PC Game Pass, you can play it on your computer, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lets you play on both Xbox and PC. Those with the Xbox Game Pass Premium tier will also be able to access the game within the next year.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is on Xbox Game Pass at launch
Excluding updated versions like this year’s Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, it’s been 13 years since a brand new Ninja Gaiden game was released. The series, which started in arcades back in 1988, has a dedicated fanbase who have been eagerly waiting for a sequel to 2012’s Ninja Gaiden 3.
The long-awaited Ninja Gaiden 4 is finally here! This exciting sequel was made possible by a collaboration between the talented teams at Team Ninja (known for games like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty) and PlatinumGames (creators of NieR: Automata and Bayonetta), and is published by Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios.
The game has received positive reviews on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5, successfully reviving interest in the Ninja Gaiden series after a long period. Here at Windows Central, our Executive Editor Jez Corden gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating in his review.
I recently read a review of Ninja Gaiden 4, and the writer felt it really held its own in a year that was packed with ninja games – we had titles like Shinobi, Ghost of Yotei, and even Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound all vying for attention. They didn’t try to completely change what makes a Ninja Gaiden game fun, but instead built on what the best entries in the series already did well, and it felt like they added a little extra polish – almost like something you’d expect from PlatinumGames.
Despite a simple story and presentation, Ninja Gaiden 4 has received a lot of positive feedback from both critics and players. The game is praised for its fast-paced, intense, and satisfying close-quarters combat, featuring a wide variety of impressive combos, dodges, blocks, weapons, and fighting styles.
The game is also incredibly challenging at higher difficulty levels, offering a rewarding experience for players who enjoy mastering complex combat and becoming skilled ninja. Beyond that, it boasts impressive variety in both gameplay and visuals. Players control Yakumo as he fights a wide range of enemies – from terrifying monsters to technologically-enhanced ninja – in a futuristic, cyberpunk version of Tokyo.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is a thrilling addition to the series, appealing to both longtime fans and new players. Because of this, many are wondering if it’s included with Xbox Game Pass.
Great news for Ninja Gaiden 4 fans! The game is available right now with Xbox Game Pass. You can play it immediately with the $29.99 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes access on Xbox consoles, PC, and via cloud gaming), or with the $16.49 PC Game Pass if you only play on PC. If you have the $14.99 Xbox Game Pass Premium tier, it will be added to the library within the next year.
It won’t be available on the $9.99 Xbox Game Pass Essential plan, which offers a limited selection of games and is mainly for console players looking for the cheapest way to play online multiplayer.
How else can you play Ninja Gaiden 4?

While Ninja Gaiden 4 is available on Xbox Game Pass, you can also buy it separately on Xbox Series X|S, PC (through the Xbox app or Steam), and PS5 for $69.99 if you prefer to own the game outright.
Although buying the game outright is more expensive than a single month of PC or Xbox Game Pass, it’s probably a good investment if you want to be able to play this single-player game again later on.
Here’s a great deal: you can currently get Ninja Gaiden 4 on Xbox for only $56.39 at Loaded (previously known as CDKeys). That’s a significant discount for a brand-new game, and because it’s part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, you can enjoy it on both your Xbox and PC, with your progress syncing between both platforms.
